    Not a starter

I appreciate the votes for everyone except Gabby. I mean Gabby? She may not have been AAC player of the year last year, but she should have been!! Can't wait for this season to start!

    Gabby Makes All Tournament Team

Good for Gabby! IMO, she was the POY, especially for the AAC. Lou and Collier had great seasons, but Gabby was the X Factor this year.

    Karlie Samuelson

I think she would get drafted in the W, but I'm not sure if she would make it through training camp. She'd need to be the perfect match for a certain team.

Who are our starting five next year?

I think it's the core 4 from this year, plus Crystal. I think you need 2 true guards that really can handle the ball consistently.

Becky Hammon Turns Down Florida Job

I think Becky's goal is to be the first female NBA Head Coach. She knows she is a trailblazer and can continue as one.

    Samuelson vs Samuelson its possible

Yeah, I for one would not like to see this happen, especially since it's Karlie's senior year.

    Congrats to Quinnipiac

This QU run has me overjoyed! It's awesome to see a team that is thrilled to make it to the Sweet 16. Let's go QU and UCONN

    Anyone Think It Odd

I remember an interview from either last year or this year and Geno said that one time previously during the selection show, ESPN put so much emphasis on UCONN that it took away from all the other teams. He said he was actually embarrassed by the amount of attention paid to UCONN and not to...

    Attendance last night?

I couldn't even sit in my seats, I went and sat in the upper level. Great to see so many people! It was Girl Scout Night, so maybe that throws the numbers off??

    Dangerfield

She'll show us next year why she was the highest rated point guard in high school. Until then, we will have to deal with the freshman roller coaster.

    Wiggins Trashes WNBA Culture

I feel bad and sad for Wiggins. If this was her experience, no one deserves that. Whether you're gay or straight, there should be no bullying. And if this was her experience, good for her for speaking up about it. An action will not stop unless it is acknowledged first. However, when you...

Sending all the well wishes to you!

Did Morgan Help UConn By Leaving?

I think if Morgan had stayed there would have been a completely different "feel" or motivation to this team. If Morgan stayed, there would have been much more talk and pressure on UCONN to be back in the mix for a NC. This year without Morgan, there was not much talk of them being NC...

    Delle Donne For Dolson?

EDD is a special player for sure, and a great pick. My concern is with Stef... Stef is a fantastic role player, she's not a star like EDD. Stef needs to find a team that utilizes her well. A team like Minnesota.

    GABBY & Wooden Award

This just goes to show you how much emphasis is put on points. It reminds me of when Kelly Faris got Most Improved Player her senior year. She scored more points her senior season, everything else was consistent.

    Favorite Geno quote.

"See this piece of paper on the floor. That's as high as you jumped for that rebound."

    1000 Point Watch List

I think Plum is a fantastic player. She will have an awesome WNBA career probably. But I get nervous when one player is sooooo much of the offense. If she has an off night, who steps up? It reminds me of EDD playing for Delaware.

One Sour Note About The 90th Win...

I'm a season ticket holder in Hartford, and am 30 years old. So I am generally always able to make it to a game. I consider myself lucky in that fact. I actually thought there was a great crowd there. Yes, there were a lot of empty seats too, but for a Tuesday night, I thought it was good...

    Natalie's Upside?

There is a lot of negative things being said about NB, but I think she has come in this year and played great in big moments. Not everyone can an all-american, we need role players too

I have a new name for Katie Lou

Remember KML her sophmore year? We were saying the same things about KML then as we are of KLS now. The only problem for KML was the injury jr. year. KLS is doing great!!

This team is surprisingly good at 'closing the deal'

Great post! I have really noticed this since the beginning of the season. This group has something really special about it. Just a swagger to them. Other Uconn teams would crumble under the pressure in the last 4 minutes of it being a close game. They were so used to being ahead by a...

    ESPN Announcers

I hope this doesn't lessen the amount Kara Lawson does. She's in my opinion the best!

    Stefanie!!

Does anyone else think that she is not used wisely in Washington??

    WNBA Playoff Bracket

I think this is going to be an entertaining playoff series. I like the new format. You better show up to win.

    Would you transfer?

If I have to choose between winning and playing, I would choose playing. As a player, I hated sitting the bench. Even if we won, if i didn't play, how much did i contribute to the win? When I was 9 I was cut from a team. My mom was so worried that I was going to be upset. My one question...

What Current WCBB Players (or recent grads) Will Make Good Coaches?

Totally agree. I'm pretty sure she is coaching a middle school team currently.

A Fifteen Minute Chat With Your Favorite Husky

My favorite husky of all time is Stefanie Dolson, so it would be her. But I'd love to talk to Kalana Greene or Kaili with their great senses of humor. I'd also chose Meg Culmo. She's seen so much throughout the years.

What Uconn alumna has made the greatest contributions to the program?

Rebecca Lobo. People love watching her. Even now on ESPN, I love when she is calling a game.
  29. Huskylove3

Question for U Conn fans and fans of other teams.

I'm pretty sure I said Skylar Diggins wouldn't do well her rookie year too, so I obviously can't say I have a problem with them saying that about Mo. At least I was right:cool:

    KML!!!

I can't wait for the day when I can see a KML topic on this board and read comments that have nothing to do with her weight..... until then, party on Wayne

Stokes and Dolson headline U.S. women's select team

Tiffany Hayes no longer plays with USA Basketball. She plays for Azerbaijan. And no I'm not kidding. Hayes, Henry to miss Dream's next 5 games
  32. Huskylove3

Stokes and Dolson headline U.S. women's select team

Maybe Parker, Nneka, Diggins, etc are still up for official alternate spots? This select team seems like a great way to show loyalty to USAB but it doesn't say they are first in line as alternates in case of injury to a current roster player.

    Sue!!!!!!!!

I said Whalen was my favorite non-uconn player, not that minny was my favorite team. I stand for Liberty. Let's see where your Sparks end up at the end of the season. They do look really good. ;)
  34. Huskylove3

    Sue!!!!!!!!

i have to admit, I love Whalen. She's my favorite non-uconn player, but yeah she was banged up last year and this year looks better but maybe not where she was 4 years ago. I think it just comes down to the fact that Geno trusts her. After all, minny is undefeated.

For me, I just can't do it. At least in person at a game. When I'm watching on tv, i don't boo, but i do yell!
