Not 100% sure when the “Champs Again” edition came out. May have actually been Wednesday since the game ended pretty late EST on Monday.
The “Six-cess” is a special commemorative section from Friday’s paper. Either way, thank you! Worth spending the $8 for the back issue and hoping it’s got...
Went to 4-5 gas stations in Stamford on Tuesday to try and pick up a copy of the Courant but had no luck.
Long shot but would love to find a copy. Any ideas? Anyone with a spare they want to sell?
Him and his designer need to get back in the lab QUICK. Already outdated merch and it dropped less than 72 hours ago lol.
Should add in Mr. Connecticut somewhere. What a LEGEND!
The argument is who they’ve beaten in Q1. Wins over #4, 5, 7, 8, 14, 19, & 20 in KenPom.
We’ve beaten #10, 13, 14, 20.
We are the better team, but Purdue’s resume is impressive and deserving of the #1 overall seed (for now).
Hawkins ROY - bet $10 to win $4,200 on FanDuel.
Wemby and Chet are clearly the front runners but will their bodies hold up for the whole year? Worth throwing a few on Hawk the way he looks.
First Nights that are preceded by national championship ring ceremonies, however, are super cool & I’m strongly in favor of recruits seeing that. I’m sure for Ngongba that was fun to witness & be a part of.
Trying to browse tickets now. For the mini plans I have no way of bypassing the screen telling me the Marquette game is a part of the mini plan and to take a look at the individual seats that are available for the game. Any help?
If football takes care of business these next 2 weeks it’s an absolute no brainer to bring Flagg on 9/23 to the game.
Even if they don’t, the players should (& will) still bring him to the student tailgate.
Marquette scheduled one P5 home game - Notre Dame, who by the way will potentially be the worst P5 team in all of CBB this year. This was a home-and-home series agreed upon in 2019. Their second P5 OOC home game is the B12/BE Battle. Can't really count that in this argument of yours.
The bottom...
If we were in the American still, sure, this would be dreadful. But season ticket holders will see the following teams at XL or Gampel:
Top 10 Marquette
Top 10 Creighton
Top 10-ish Nova
Top 25 St. Johns
Top 25-ish Xavier
Top 25-ish PC
Georgetown led by Cooley
Pretty stacked, to be honest.
Yeah, I mean I’m not a season ticket holder anymore so I can’t complain. Nonetheless, that is the norm in college scheduling these days. I wrote it earlier in this thread but of the top 10 teams in the NET from the ‘22-23 season on average they each played 6.5 games vs. Q4 schools.
It’s an NCAA problem not a UConn AD problem. Too many neutral site games now & not enough home & homes.
Luckily the Big East will have three, maybe four top 10 teams in the country & potentially six top 25 teams. Plenty of exciting home games this year.
The top 10 ranked teams in NET from last season on average played 6.5 Quad 4 games each. As of now we have 4 on the schedule. Others will be scheduled and perhaps 1-2 BE games end up being Q4, but this is standard scheduling.
Working in a lot of new guys. Tons of big time OOC games to boost SOS. Conference play will be very strong, potentially the best in the country. All that’s to say, it’s alright to have some cupcakes.
GoKU had said Utah didn't have interest in sharing a conference with BYU. It seems as though their admin/AD have opened their eyes and realized they need to get on this lifeboat.
I understand that. I also know it doesn’t matter at all in reality. But we’re the reigning national champs and our talent on the roster, especially in the starting lineup speaks for itself. I want to see the #1 next to UConn when I tune in to opening night.
Two wonderings…

In here the Iowa St AD claims he expects the new TV deal to = $50mil/year per school. $32/mil from the TV + $18mil/year from NCAA tourny + CFP. Is that right...
