I like him from the footage i saw. Nothing really stands stands out but he seems to have good court awareness and is sound in pick and roll. I'm sure our guards will enjoy playing with him.
Jalen adams will be the most talented guard on the team next year along with hamilton. Adams is a difference maker in all aspects and has won every place he's been along with every MVP award possible. I think with him on the team the future is bright.
Govan would be a good get for us. Especially if Brimah is still here for his Junior year. Govan would be able to play a limited role while adjusting to the college game and working on his strength and explosiveness. It doesn't look like he really plays above the rim so I'm sure some strength...
Lets assume here that Boat and Deandre come back. I'll examine the possible replacements for the seniors we lost as well as what improvements our hold overs need make for us to return to the final four.
Lets start with Boat: I think we can agree that he definitely made a jump in his game this...
I was and still am a big time Marcus Williams Fan. with the careers that Kemba and Shabazz had combined with the 2006 team not advancing past the elite 8, its easy to see why hes taken a back seat at the PG position. but he did it all for that team, scoring and incredible play making. With...
Going to be getting very little sleep this week in anticipation of Friday night. I'm already amped... UConn at MSG in the sweet 16 is a must see event. Me and my crew already ponied up our $400 a seat today for some nose bleeds and you know what? I'm totally fine with it. If you haven't got...
Brimah's gonna be a pro at some point. I'm excited to see his progress throughout this season and next. A full off-season of weight training is going to do wonders for him.
I agree on Adams, i like him a lot as well. I think we need more of a pure point guard in the class and I think Adams fits better than Dorsey in that regard. Justin Simon is also very intriguing...
I hope Purvis can play the point but i haven't really seen much creating off the dribble from him. Usually some fast break or quick move to the basket set up by someone else. I know highlight tapes aren't the best indicator of his skill set but has anyone seen him play more extensively that...
A lot of folks talking about Purvis playing the point, i don't see it. Nor do I think Samuel will be ready to start as a sophomore. True PG is the most important piece of this class in my opinion.
Calipari is taking full advantage of the system, why would they break the rules now when everyone wants to go there anyway? In recruiting its Kentucky and then everyone else. Its not even a level playing field at this point. Cal has created a destination that isn't comparable to any other...
He needs to work on his lateral quickness, ball handling and getting his shot off the dribble if he wants to play the 3, which is where is future is at in the NBA. He's a pretty decent straight line athlete but not near the likes of Rudy or Stanley or really any 3 in the league.
The 2012 team needs a 2008 Kobe and a better front court to beat the 92 team in any type of series. Who knows what might happen in one game, especially with the international 3 point line.
uconnhusky1 has a video that's been removed from you tube called "best moments I" which used to be on a website a long time ago called "virtual kennel." Does anyone have a link to this video with the original sound and music?
