I mean I'm as disappointed as anyone here, but I doubt there was much available out there and this at least keeps things some what consistent on offense. This close to spring practice I doubt bringing in an OC to completely overhaul the offense at this point in time was probably unrealistic. I...
Congrats to Nick. I’m not going to poop on him right now.
We should look into coaches from FCS like South Dakota State, North Dakota State or Montana. I watched them play against North Dakota (school I’m attending) and they put up points
I think that's a nice landing place for him. Houston surprised everyone last year with how good Stroud and the offense clicked and won a game in the playoffs. That probably a lot of playing time on the defense for Foly to step into.
That model works at literally every other level including the NFL. FBS is the only one that doesn’t guarantee all conference champs a bid to the playoffs. Get rid of the bowls and just go to 16 or 24 like FCS
At this point, it's going to be a pretty normal thing. We better get used to it. Unless the NCAA regulates the NIL money, more kids are going to play their 4 games to get some tape, then sit out for the rest of the season.
As much money for the school as possible. Yeah there's NIL right now, but no one in the the Olympic or non-revenue sports are getting any of that money. I feel like they're getting screwed at the big schools like that just as much as schools that are getting poached because of NIL money.
I was upset he left. But I really don't blame him with the way season turned out last year. I hope he has a lot of success in ETSU. I'll still root for him from afar. Once a husky always a husky.
I'm a little underwhelmed by this addition, but beggars can't be choosers and we need to fill the schedule out as best as we can. Plus Delaware isn't too bad of a drive so could be fun to travel to the away game.
Charlton's biggest problem is he pulls out stupid trick plays and ruins momentum. If he just stuck to what was working we'd be fine on offense. I'm not saying we'll put up Madden like numbers, but we can at least look more productive and give the defense some breathing room.
I think this gives Mora a little more time to focus on both sides of the ball. Charlton had full control, but I think Mora has more input than the last 2 years.
Looks like Kelly is dipping before he can be dropped by UCLA. He didn't do awful there, but he was nowhere close to expectations. And he would get absolutely hammered in the Big 10. Going to an OC at OSU takes almost all pressure off him.
Chip Kelly's offenses were pretty good with him as HC. Same with Rich Rod. I get what they're saying but Mora is perfectly capable of doing both calling plays and coaching. Would I like to see a dedicated DC? Sure because then Mora can put in time coaching both sides of the ball equally. But I'm...
Man I'm still a bit salty about him transferring the year Jones left. He would have been the big man on the field for us again, but I don't blame him going to TCU.
