The Big 12 is bound to be poached. As soon as it happens, I'd like to see the American get aggressive by adding the Big 12 remanents to become a 16-team P5 conference; we'll likely remain on the outside looking in if they are able to rebuild.
Might be our best chance at salvation assuming ND...
I didn't know that last year's win over us gave USF their 100th FBS win. It made me curious about UConn's 100th; we're on pace to achieve that next season. I was also surprised to see that our FBS record has never dropped below .500 (currently 89-89):
Year W | L | Win Pct Cum - W | Cum...
Thanks Roadtrip, looking forward to this weekend! Do you need to schedule a tour of the academy ahead of time, or can you just show up at the visitor center and buy tickets?
I went last November for the UConn-Tulane football game. As others have said, the WWII museum is fantastic, Bourbon Street is a ton of fun, and Café Du Monde is a must. I didn't discover Frenchman Street until the night before my early flight home; I would have loved to spend more time there...
My preference for ND's replacement would be Army. They would need to renovate the rink but aside from that, they bring a rich history, are a decent fit geographically (expanding into NY), and would attract new fans both on the road and at home. This would also allow the Atlantic to operate as...
I love this idea! I would take it a step further and retrofit the plane with a bunch of TVs, a stage, and a sound system and let it be the gathering place for the student tailgate. Have a bar on the inside where only students 21+ are allowed.
I may certainly be in the minority but I like Masonius a lot. He's a freshman and has made costly freshman mistakes but that doesn't take away from everything he does well. He's been great on the PP (2g,8a) which is good for 3rd on the team in PP points behind Max and Tage. He skates well...
I would recommend driving in rather than parking at riverside. There is a lot behind Agganis that is only $10 for hockey games plus the rink is very convenient to get to from the Mass Pike.
Myself and three others are headed down for the game and we would also be willing to contribute to a UConn tailgate. For those who might be interested, I checked the Saints' schedule and they are hosting the Giants the weekend before our game (we unfortunately won't arrive until Friday)...
The poor attendance is not the fault of UConn fans. I'm not buying that we can't draw better than this for a tournament game at 9 on a Friday against a big opponent. There are no seats to be found on SeatGeek, EasySeat or even the AAC website. That tells me that the game is sold out and people...
Dear Students,
Let me start this post by saying that you all were absolutely incredible last night. The energy in the rink starts and stops with the student section and no one at the game or watching/listening online can deny how electric the XL was. I know it isn't always easy to get to...
At a lot of other schools they have a point system based on games attended. UConn needs to adopt this. Upon entering Gampel or the Rent or Frietas, etc. the students have their ID's scanned and receive a point that stays with them until graduation, hence, the more sporting events you go to...
My parents met at UConn and I became a fan the day I was born. I was fortunate enough to play D3 baseball in college yet my support for the Huskies never waivered. Now, as a grad student, I can't tell you how proud I am that I will receive a degree from THE University of Connecticut.
