    What a day!

A team gets shutout for an entire quarter, plus mass ejections in the SC,LSU game. SC will have 6 players for the first round of the tourney, and LSU only 5.

    OT: Saw West Virginia ranked,

and wondered if good old Mike Carey was still there. He's not, but they brought in somebody who's been successful at other schools.

    Surprised

there has been no discussion here regarding Geno's comments about the transfer portal, and Seton Hall's Park-Lane transfer to Miss. St. Don't see the difference between Park-Lane and Lou Lopez Senechal.

    Tara in the Times!

Very interesting interview with Tara VanDerveer in the business section of the NYT today. Much of it is about her relationships with coaches and players. I think helps in understanding an important ingredient in her successful career.

    Watching the games

We live in Northampton, Mass., and have been streaming games the last couple of seasons thru Fox . I have not been able to get that stream to work this season, though doing what has worked in the past. I haven't paid much attention to discussions here re viewing, since the streaming worked for...

    Holmes back home in Maine

and a rather cool reception, as Maine had the lead going into the 4th. Indiana won by 8, but another sign of parity in WCBB.

    Crystal with big game

(14 pts, 5 rebounds, 6 assists - how 'bout that Coach Reeve) , as Dallas upsets Las Vegas.

    Breanna Stewart

Opportunity to watch the best women's player(maybe ever) tonite, as the Liberty play Atlanta, on CBS sports. Watched the Liberty beat Dallas Sunday, and was reminded how UConn was able to win 4 straight titles. She continues to get better.

    Tennessee vs UConn

    Monday night? heh,heh

    Princeton ,Utah

Carla's team was so gutsy against Utah; really could have won,but for so many missed opportunities in close. Their defense, and " all hands on deck" rebounding kept them in the game. Had 20 offensive boards !! 38 foul shots taken by Utah vs 15 for Princeton!? Lost only by 7.

    Betting on UConn women

How can someone bet on UConn women's games, if the injury status of players is never known? Isn't that rather important info in any sport betting? What am I missing here?

    Help!

I should know, but is a flagrant foul considered a technical? Could not get a clear answer from the net. I guess it's not, since Kelsey Plum had a technical and a flagrant yesterday, but stayed on the game.

    Fired up Tina!

18 rebounds in huge Storm win!

    Crystal!!

Amazing, after being discarded by teams, she ends up in New York, and led the team in minutes played last night against the Fever. Though only 4 points (only 4 shots), she had 5 rebounds ,5 assists, and was kept on the floor because she really made that offense work. And played her usual...

    Help me out here.

Forgive me; I'm not much of an x's and o's guy. Does the offense UConn runs lend itself to clear-outs or isolation situations? Are there offenses that allowed that to happen more? Neither Christyn nor Evina are especially good at penetration where they're working around multiple defenders. But...

    Geno in Indiana

Saw some nice photos of Geno in Indiana to see Patterson play, one in the bleachers, one with her and the coach. What was not so nice was that there was not a mask to be seen.

    Stop feeling sorry for yourself,Geno

I would have preferred him saying that the loss of Paige is even greater than he thought it would be. And that it is just going to take the coaches and players that much longer to adjust to the loss. A generational player is lost, and you're going to make things ok in a couple of days, Geno? And...

    Shea Ralph

So, is the loss of Shea turning out to be a bigger deal than maybe we thought it would be? Hard to imagine that there would not be a significant impact, given the way that she played the game, and her many years of coaching experience. And already we see her impact on the Vandy program. I think...

Did Geno throw the team under a bus ?

Geno ranted after the game about his very immature and pouty team , feeling sorry for themselves when things don't go their way. They certainly are a young team, with 3 frosh on the floor a lot of the second half. And maybe the veterans do get down on themselves at times. But seems like...
  21. boontonbomber

    So how come NaLyssa Smith

only took 5 shots in the second half, Coach Mulkey? and she made 4. I believe Christyn was guarding her, but Christyn wasn't going to stop her a lot of the time, but obviously she wasn't taking shots a lot of the time. She was their best player, but she was taking many more shots. maybe a bigger...

    Which ankle did Williams sprain?

Actually, both ankles are important for a shooter. Lest we forget, she had 16, 18, and 29 against Arkansas., DePaul and Marquette. Wonder if she's hurting, and not letting coaches in on it. Ankles are really important!!

Aubrey after that 3rd foul ...

just wondering why she was left in. Still quite a bit of game left, so could have hurt them. She really does impact all over the court. Very reminiscent of Gabby. My apology if this has been brought up somewhere else here.

    Sky vs. Lynx tonite,

Gabby vs. Crystal and Napheesa, but I don't think it's going to be televised. With extra playing time, Gabby really looks like the Gabby of old, at both ends of the floor.

Taurasi is aging, and parenting, but not ...

mellowing. Still doing the stuff that has caused me over the years to just not like her. In last night's game with Chicago, DeShields strips her, goes in for layup, and Diana decks her. The way she hit her could really have caused some damage. Diamond showed class by not responding, except to...

fans a bit tough on Anna

I think because of her playing experience in Poland, people forget that Anna is still a 19-year old freshman. And she's living and playing in a foreign country. I think she's a gutsy young woman, and dealing with a lot more than frosh from this country. Might be a good thing if fans would calm...

Oh how I wish Christyn would get back to

taking as many shots as she did earlier. Thru 14 games she was averaging 10 shots per game, and shooting 56%. Over the last 9 games she's averaging just 6 shots, and shooting 35%. Somebody( or many bodies) should just yell at her,"Shoot Christyn Shoot!!" Like all good shooters , she's got to...

Not much heard here about Rutgers

and CViv lately. Could it be because they've only lost 1 game since Nov.( tight one against Iowa), are 16-4, and leading the Big 10? Winning the Rutger's way, with their defense. For one, I'm happy to see " over-the-hill" CViv hanging in there..
