My wife and I met his dad at the airport on the way home from St. Petersburg Bowl; he was a real nice guy. My wife and I were so disappointed when he left UCONN but we are happy things worked out for him.

Look he clearly was in over his head as a HC but he has had success in defensive coach positions. I don’t root against the guy. Unlike low energy PP I think he did the best he could. I blame the high paid administration who hired him.

No way. It’s amazing so many fans still show up despite the horrendous product. If we ever start winning fans will come back.

Great points. Plus from a fan perspective it’s reduces the interminable TV timeouts and clock stoppages after incomplete passes.

I’m a conservative guy but punting on 4th and 2 down 20 near mid field was ridiculous...and they got a delay of game penalty to boot. COME ON!!!

I just saw game is on Big 10 Network which I don’t get on Cox. I guess I need to change my game plan today.

Wrong. You want people to enjoy the game and know the players. You can’t do it when you can’t here their names called or even hear the referees. It has not always been like that. This is the first year I couldn’t hear one word.

We couldn’t hear anything during the whole game. A lot of frustration in our section. They need to fix it.

I think there are a lot of positives to take away. The game was not as close as the final score. Defense is much better, running game looks great, our punt returner is excellent, and kicking and punting we’re solid. QB was a little shaky especially on pick six but he made some nice throws as...

I'm an Edsall supporter but I agree with OP. While it generally doesn't matter, as a fan I like to have the two-deeps so I can start learning all of the key players. It also reminds me of a Diaco move.

That sucks if true. I didn’t have a big issue with the change from original Big East to AAC or the change in format for football playoffs because we still had at least a theoretical pathway to a major bowl game. Now we don’t. Plus we don’t have opportunity to play in conference championship...

Does anyone know if Independents are part of the so-called Group of Five for purposes of determining who plays on New Years Day? For example if UCONN went undefeated next year and was ranked higher than any team in the five conferences would it get to play the big bowl game?

Yes and I would not worry about not getting invitations if we get bowl eligible. There are so many bowl games even 5-7 teams occasionally sneak in.
