As it happened, this was the very first game I watched from start to finish since the days of Shea Ralph the Player (I don't watch so I don't bring them bad luck).
Thank you TEAM!!!
I don't think you can GIVE tickets to legislators especially to lobby them - and then there is the issue of the third casino (near MA) and MGM lawsuit re: casino in Bridgeport...
The best part about this magnificent comeback is that they did it in front of 15000 plus (no doubt jumping up and down) in the XL Center). THANK YOU TEAM!!!
Everyone has it or had it this year, in our neck of the woods, just about. No way for me to assess what it might do to a basketball talent from California...GO HUSKIES!!!
Altho' I really shouldn't participate, being only a "grazer" now, I non-the-less think Nat is the bomb!!! If there hadn't been a lid on the basket most of the time when she had her chances, she would have single-handedly taken apart anybody's team!!!
IIRC...Do they still play "aggressively" and tend to get called for or not, fouling all over the place? I used to think their team's colors were black and blue - instead of orange.
There was a fantastic tip posted here a very long time ago (not by me) - if you copy and paste the caption of the article into Google search box you get the story.
Considering that it was a road game, making sure we win is not a bad thing - and not getting any players injured in a melee trying to run up the score is smart.
Just a comment from a CT resident who has been a fan of the WCBB "home team" since Shea Ralph's college days:
Connecticut is a very small state and we are proud of such high achievement because we don't have too much else to point to athletically speaking.
Those who are fans but are from...
I don't know if everyone on this board has been to the UCONN campus in Storrs, but I always wondered how folks managed to get to class in time considering the distances to travel between buildings.
