    Visitors for First Night

Earl's gun was an antique gun that no longer fired. After attending a party on campus, he was accused of stealing money belonging to the floor monitor that was sitting unsecured on a table. In retaliation for Earl's alleged theft, his gun was stolen. Earl and some friends visited the gun thief...

OT: Fast Food veggie burger, BK Impossible Whopper

Soy contains toxins. East Asians figured out how to remove them, resulting in tofu and tempeh. I think tempeh is probably the tastiest healthy ingredient for a veggie burger to contain.

OT: Fast Food veggie burger, BK Impossible Whopper

I've been a vegetarian since 1987, when Eat'N Chicken (Maple ave at Broad St, Hartford) went out of business. Other than their burgers, I don't like the taste of most meats. I was dumb enough to believe that high levels of LDL are bad, even though my HS biology teacher in 1967 moonlighted on...

Richard Springs Power Forward (Heading This Way?)

Alterique has not had an injury since Loyola-Marymount on 11/17/2016. He started 2017-18 in pain due to scar tissue from the operation. The pain got worse and forced him to sit out the second half of the Michigan State game. The press put out the bogus injury line because it made a better...

The Catholic schools always worked to the detriment of the Football schools. In order to keep them from leaving, Dave Gavitt convinced Pitt, West Va, etc. to join. Still, bad behavior by the Catholics. This behavior left the football schools vulnerable. They had to leave or else end up like...

In 1964, Pitney’s publicist, Andrew Loog Oldham, introduced him to the Rolling Stones, whom he produced. He recorded the Jagger-Richards composition “The Girl Belongs to Yesterday”. Pitney also assisted in the recording of the Stones’ “12 X 5” album. With Phil Spector, Pitney sat in on a 1964...

    OT: Best bar in CT

The night Earl Kelley hit the shot to beat 'Cuse, there was a great band in Murphy's basement. I constantly alternated between the high from the game and the high from the band (great covers and originals). Too often, after a Whalers game, their fans would show up and kill the vibe...

New court filings name former UConn standouts Rodney Purvis, Sterling Gibbs, Terry Larrier in Kevin Ollie case

One player left because he didn't feel confident and needed an extra year to learn how to use his 2 surgically-repaired knees. Another's plan was to play one year behind Larrier and then become THE MAN. Larrier's injury messed up that plan. Many people on here wanted the third player to leave...

New court filings name former UConn standouts Rodney Purvis, Sterling Gibbs, Terry Larrier in Kevin Ollie case

I watched the 9 games with KO coaching and AG playing. Team was much superior than with DH coaching and AG playing, after many more games. Too much comparing of DH with healthy, more experienced players to KO with injured/ineligible less-experienced players. Why would any top coach want to...

OT: Tom "Terrific" Seaver Has Dementia

My uncle showed up one day and took me to the Polo Grounds (from Hartford). This was their first home win, ever. At the time, this didn't make up for my parents taking the train to the last game at Ebbets Field, without me, when I was six. When Hickman replaced Ashburn late in the game, fans...

I guess I missed the info on what the state donates to the athletic program. Thought that student fees, which includes intramurals, student exercise facilities, etc, is the only thing propping up the AD. If I'm wrong, please show some documentation. thanks.
