Still would prefer a two year eligibility guy. Think next year we will be extra young. I'd like to build for the following year and one year guys aren't ideal.
As a way to kill time before Thursday I was thinking about this. I remember our game against LSU and Shaq. He has to be number one. Who comes after that?
1 - Shaquille O'Neal
One need I havent seen mentioned is a guy who can break the defense down on his own and get a shot. Our offense mostly doesnt need it but against really good switching defenses we do. And this year we have Castle, Spencer, and Newton who do that well.
Disagree.. Sampson has more he can do.. Once he's coached to do it. Mid range pops. Some Ighodaro baby hooks. I'm predicting a Diarra like improvement.
Theres a huge range of difference between 4*s. But what your high school ranking is doesnt determine your absolute viability as an NBA prospect. Solo can develop into an NBA prospect. He has the frame and physicality if he develops his skills and game to be an NBA prospect
Joey California seemed like a bad decision by us, but done out of roster scholarship necessity. But we know how that turned out. If the staff wants Derkack then he is the guy.
One thing that winning national coach of the year would provide, is more of the type of recruit that fits our program. When all the prospects realize the kind of coaching they can get here, the more the best fitting recruits will want to come here. And when players like Sonan go elsewhere I...
Uconn should have the best ratio of fans there by far. But the randomness of the fans wont provoke the reactions of the Husky fans. But I think the energy will be quite good.
UNC is going to win their tournament. I dont think Tennessee will. I think UNC will be the last #1 seed. I want to play Duke and Kansas and Kentucky and those types of teams that keep getting all these recruits.
He would get a decent salary, but what, for two years and then he would be tarnished because the chance of success there would be low. But youre right, the point is moot because Louisville needs an established successful coach. They can't take any fliers.
I also wouldnt go there if I was him. Louisville has been a dumpster and there will be tons of pressure to succees right away. Go to a low mid major where you can impress. Maybe LIU. Then I can walk down the block and watch him while hanging with Bill.
Newton and Spencer winning is going to help us in the portal even more. We need two year guys from the portal since next year will be more of a rebuilding year.
I'm all for the Carrier Dome idea. Only Uconn fans would want to make that trip and Syracuse obviously not even going to be in the tournament for the next 5 years.
