    OT: Sports Betting Tax Implications

Use a bookie and you can’t use pinnacle as a USA citizen. I have a Canadian partner with an LLC we run all that stuff through. Got to get creative with this industry you’re paying tax to gamble and on winning you’ll never be profitable

    OT: Sports Betting Tax Implications

Laughable whoever uses those apps. You deserve the banana. I still use pinnacle even though it’s been banned in the USA for about 20 years. Best lines in the business

    UConn -3.5 St. Marys

These are the type of games that are public bloodbaths. Everyone loading up on UConn not giving St Mary’s any type of respect. Happens in every single sport where the line seems too good to be true. Sometimes those games come through but more often than not Vegas feasts Not touching this game...

    Ed Cooley to Georgetown

Nothing is ever a done deal till it’s actually done. Few years ago an acquaintance of mine (baseball agent) told me his player that he represented was singing with X team and the deal was done. 12 hours later it was on ESPN the player actually signed with a different team. Asked my acquaintance...

    UConn -3.5 St. Marys

Agreed. I’ve watched more than a handful of St Mary’s games this year and have posted this before. They are a solid team, very well coached, very fundamentally sound, and don’t typically make many mistakes. They don’t have the athleticism or size to handle UConn but if they can make thing’s...

    OT:Recommendations for Miami Airport Hotels

There’s a hotel connected directly to the airport it was reasonably priced rooms somewhat on the small side I think it’s called Miami International Hotel. It’s the only hotel directly connected/inside the airport

    Patrick Ewing gone…

Beard is a Texas alumni little different. he was going to his alma mater to lead the basketball team of the richest athletic department in the country

    UCONN -8.5

Ricks been around he’s focused on the game and scouting. He’s been at the top St. John’s is not a distraction

February - Other Big East Games

Wrong . It was blocked before Jones hand even touched the rim. Is what it is but they were shafted on 2 goaltend calls imo
  10. M

    OT: New Mexico State

Complete dumpster fire down there. Coaches have no control of their team/program or just don’t care
  11. M

February - Other Big East Games

@Huskyhoops25 ball had already been blocked before the hand was on the rim. And if you are agreeing with that call completely then there would be multiple goaltend calls a game cause so often does a player grab the net or hit the rim/backboard on missed shots

February - Other Big East Games

Xavier got shafted. Nunge had a clean block probably around the 5 min mark that was called a goaltend and then end of game was a questionable goaltend Feel bad for Nunge pulling a Chris Webber and getting the technical for no more TO which didn’t help at all

    This whole situation is unbelievable.

    Bubble watch (2/5/23)

I’ve watched St Mary’s a handful of times and they are a team that can cause issues. They aren’t superior athletically or talent wise but they are extremely well coached and fundamentally sound. Very solid team and overlooked

LeBron James Breaks the All Time Scoring Record

Wow your hatred for him is wild. Lebron didn’t orchestrate this. The NBA did. He is not self absorbed and any teammate and person who knows him would refute this He has been a model player/person in the Derek Jeter sense with the exception of his gaffe to do “The Decision” which he has...

    OT: Kyrie requests trade...

Kyrie with all his talent feels like a net negative when it comes to continuity and team He’s an amazing talent but don’t see him as a franchise changing talent

    Sleeper Deep Dives: Donovan Clingan

Things might change down the stretch with DH playing the double big last game. Might be a glimpse of an option that will be utilized

    Wanna Get Away?

When you get a free room it’s free no resort/hotel fees. They will charge a credit card $100 at check in for incidentals that gets refunded During Covid when everything got closed down and they had the temperature scanners at every entrance I was staying at Mohegan 3 days a week for about 4-5...

    Wanna Get Away?

My whole calendar used to be blue for free rooms (minus weekends) but haven’t been to Mohegan in almost a year. Just checked and it’s green and rooms are $170-260 depending on day Might just have to make a trip there and play high rollers for few hours to get my free rooms back

Setting up to be a 7 Seed

They are nowhere near a 2 seed as of today. From the NCAA website: “The NET is one of many resources/tools available to the committee in the selection, seeding and bracketing process. Computer models cannot accurately evaluate qualitative factors such as games missed by key players or coaches...

Bench is Playing Tight. Shorten the Rotation. What Say You?

I still can’t believe Hurley trotted out a lineup of Joey, Diarra, and Alleyne for a stretch. No Hawkins and I believe Sonogo might have been on the bench also. Where was the offense supposed to come from

    Chief’s Briefs - Xavier Edition

It was all of 15ft maybe more. It was comical and he was content with jacking shots and when he did drive it was an ugly floater/push shot he put up. He is afraid of contact it seems to me
  23. M

    Chief’s Briefs - Xavier Edition

I don’t know why DH didn’t take a quick TO after the 5-0 deficit. Slow the momentum by Xavier and calm the team/Jackson down. Calhoun did this many times in his career and it yielded good results. He let it go too long and the game got out of hand the crowd was neutralized
  24. M

    Xavier line

You aren’t kidding. Made a killing it wasn’t until conference play when the books started dialing it in. There were some totals that would have 10 point swings in the early days from open to close

    Xavier line

    Seems like a lot

Xavier at UConn may be the start of a bitter recruiting rivalry

I can see Sean Miller being at Xavier for the rest of his career. He doesn’t have to deal with all the bs at Xavier that come with a larger job and he’s probably happy to be back at Xavier after what went down at Zona. He’s a good coach and will recruit well and probably be a perennial top 25...

    Kenpom "Luck"

Big east was also a lot stronger/more talent/better coaches from 2002-2013. That creates more opportunities/chances to lose those close games. If you are going to bring up the difference in talent on the roster you have to acknowledge the talent of opponents also
  28. M

    Kenpom "Luck"

And Hurley is at a measly 29% based on the stats superjohn provided which makes Calhoun 82-83% better than DH in those same situations
  29. M

    Kenpom "Luck"

Wow. That’s not exactly a small sample size either. Hurley needs to grow in this area going forward. His teams seem to lack composure and play timid/tight in these situations

    It's not coaching

What’s the saying…. The definition of insanity is doing the same to thing over and over again and expecting a different result There needs to be changes or experimenting with different things to try to figure out a solution. Staying the course isn’t working
  31. M

    Hurley and Young OUT today

Do people actually think Luke is going to be running the show? It’s going to be Tom Moore. He has head coaching experience and is a long time assistant. Luke is still a greenhorn at this and is still learning/growing

    The 1-3-1 zone

Maybe do a matchup 2-3 zone like Chaney used to run at Temple
  33. M

    Quote from Hurley

Part of that is DH defensive theory to be super aggressive on the ball. That leads to more blow bys and with his love for the high hedge and not much help defense it leads to layups Some of UConn’s best teams used double bigs. Yes the game has changed but he needs to give it a real try cause...

    New 247 Rankings

Has there ever been a city that put out a better trio of PG recruits than NYC that year Taliek, Omar Cook, and Andre Barrett. Pretty sure they were all top 15 and burger boys. It’s was great they all stayed home and played in the BE

    New 247 Rankings

He’s a better shooter (could be an elite level skill for him) and I would say a better defender. As long as he hits at good rate and plays good defense he will have a NBA career that last a while
