It also has to do with which arenas bid to have the regionals there. Bridgeport always bid because they knew it would be a sellout and they would make a ton of cash over those two days.

She has already said that she would wear it through the end of the year. I say "go for it". It doesn't seem to bother her and she can play without fear of getting hit in the face. The way she is playing maybe she should keep it for next year, too!

Used to read in the Danbury News-Times about a girl at New Fairfield High who was apparently a pretty good basketball player. I kept looking to see when she was in the paper (which was often) and sorta followed her high school career (I should have gone to a game! Wish I could go back in time!)...

Apparently, yes, they will announce their decision to attend UConn the day they are supposed to be on campus. Yay!!!!!

Indeed! I bought tickets as soon as they went on sale and thought I got super lucky to be sitting right behind the UConn bench. Turned out we were right behind NC State and sitting with all the player's parents. What a weekend of basketball!! Unfortunately that's probably the last regional...

As well it should be, that was probably the craziest game I've ever watched. Blessed that I got to see it in person (and have watched the video a couple of times, too)

Same - the heart and grit they displayed was inspiring....especially that 2OT game which I got to experience in person (except for Dorka's fall right in front of me :( )

Yup - can confirm. We sat right behind the NC bench in with all the NC parents. No issue with playing in Bridgeport. We met and spoke to some great parents. We were all disappointed that both teams couldn't have advanced after that amazing 2OT game.
