ESPN has seemed to ignore or deride UConn for years and years. Especially since they left the AAC. it felt like radio silence. So I've been pretty surprised to see all the UConn love again. Danny Hurley on First Take really got me thinking.... is ESPN going after UConn for conference...
I never understood why the women's tourney runs at the exact same time as the men's tourney. Seems stupid for the women's game, right? Just move it back 2 weeks and give the sport (and UConn!) its own weekend: Dear NCAA, Please Move the Women’s Tournament Back Two Weeks
Every UConn run has had an X factor step up. It was Lamb in 2011. It was Daniels in 2014. If UConn has another one in them, it's up to Brimah. http://stholeary.blogspot.com/2016/03/amida-brimah-is-uconns-power-source.html

It feels like we're on year two of a championship hangover and I'm starting to get worried.
I know everyone wants UConn to join a power conference, but what if the AAC could morph into one through success??? I think it's realistic for the first time. Why can't the AAC in the Group of Five bid every year??
That's why the bowl season is so important for the AAC...
7) UConn will make a bowl game
What’s the fun of August without irrational optimism? Bob Diaco said UConn was going undefeated, so maybe a 6-6 prediction isn’t that insane.

I don't know about you guys, but this is the most excited I've been for a UConn game in about four years. I feel like the possibility is there for them to turn the corner. Hate to say this is a must-win but, man, a...
I took a look at the aspect of Ollie's coaching that has propelled UConn in the tournament: http://stholeary.blogspot.com/2014/03/examining-why-kevin-ollie-is-great-coach.html
Everyone gets distracted by his personality, but his in-game coaching has been remarkable.
I feel like if anyone is going to enjoy this piece, it would be the posters here. Take glee at this epic takedown of the new Big East. What a joke it is: http://stholeary.blogspot.com/2014/03/requiem-for-new-big-east.html
I wrote a couple pieces for my blog that people here might enjoy.
First, why I think Navy & the AAC need to rethink their partnership: http://stholeary.blogspot.com/2014/03/navy-and-aac-are-better-off-alone.html
And then looking at what the AAC needs to do since they can't (can they?) stay at...
Ive seen a couple of my UConn posts discussed here, so I thought I'd share something I wrote today on fixing the bowl system. You know, in case someday UConn plays in a bowl game again. Sigh, who would've thought I'd long for a 12-hour drive to Charlotte...
