Bottom Line: Someone has to go

Accountability: The defensive coordinator is the worst is college football. For the HC to defend this incompetance is a fireable offense. Bad recruits, probably. Bad coaching, bad scheme, and a lack of player development yes! Is the team really getting better? have the coaches came up...

    The Truth about Diaco

Diaco is a good coach, far from a great coach. He has done many good things, and he has done some bad things, but boy, one thing that I have realized is that he is extremely stubborn. And that prevents learning, so its questionable whether he will ever become a great or excellent coach...

American Athletic Conference 2015 Bowl Games

Very excited for this team the extra practices will really help develop our younger players as there are only 13 seniors and 92 underclassmen. Its the equivalent of an extra spring practice period. Expect this team to contend in the American next year. 2015 BBVA Compass Bowl...

"Bowl game or not, this UConn football season has already been a success" - Kels Dayton, WTNH

I agree that to call the season a success without finishing strong would be setting the bar too low (Earlier in the off-season Diaco said the team would go undefeated, and that's the mentality to have. So the bar needs to be set at a high standard. And that standard should increase every...

    I expected improvement

Actually Nebrich transferred when PP and GD choose whitmer as the starting QB over him his sophomore year. Must of hurt Nebrich's pride to have a physically limited player ( Nebrich with a much stronger arm and mobility) beat him out. Watching highlights of Nebrich it hurts that he didn't get...

    Reason's Why Diaco Needs Time

I watched the game in disbelief like most (while receiving random text's from my buddies telling me that my team is absolute trash, Asking where it Pasqualoni is? ect. ect.)It was very frustrating. However I understand why Diaco did what he did. He is trying to teach the team to stop...

Weist Bashing: Why the 3-5 argument does not hold any weight.

First of all let me qualify my comments by mentioning the fact that I want the best coach for the program, not necessarily the biggest name, or a coordinator from a big school or conference. If we can find a wonderful coach that no one knows about, i'm all for it. I'm looking for results...

TJ Weist deserves a real chance

Weist deserves a shot. 3-5 record is not great but, all 8 games were with freshmen QBs. the thing that stands out is the progress of the team. He looks like he can and is developing the young players. whats exciting is the WR core. WM has a tough decision to make.

I was wrong to call Boyle Horrible.

Boyle looked good on the first drive. Nice bootleg and sideline pass for 12 yards, reads the pressure and man defense scheme and scrambles to pick up a chunk of yards ( he was decisive with his decision which shows instincts). He looks alot better in the read-option than whitmer due to his...

    Boyle is horrible

I think that I just got a little too excited with the Boyle hype and overreacted in saying he is horrible after the game. I watched a replay of the game. Tough loss, when the defense plays so well, the other qb is horrible, and the running game is excellent. I have been looking forward to the...

    Boyle is horrible

    Boyle is horrible

Just to clarify, I don't blame Boyle, he's a true freshmen, however, he didn't look ready to me! I think that he was rushed. Going forward, my optimism is tempered now. I am not sure how good Boyle is. He might turn out to be a really good qb. But, I definitely did not see anything to make...

    Boyle is horrible

Your crazy, emotional and you can't think straight! He threw the ball 43 times and there wasn't many perfect throws, if you are going to count drops, why don't you count all of the drops by South Florida when boyle threw the ball right into their hands. You people are insane. I read a prior...

    Boyle is horrible

Nope definately not ,however, i think whitmer wins this game considering how good the running game was, i;m not saying that boyle shouldn;t play either, but a ton of losses are in the near future. to say otherwise is folly.

    Boyle is horrible

really so why didn't those touchdowns count, foxx beat his man by seven yards and he overthrew him, he had 28 in-completions today and you can;t blame all of those on drops, now imagine, he was at home, the defense played well, and they ran the ball really well, whats going to happen when he...

i guess this is a ct thing, were no matter what the eyes or good sense say, you guys will swear that he is good. Nope he is not good and not ready. He needs to work on alot of fundamentals.

    Boyle is horrible

I'm nuts? so you thought he was impressive. Don't ever try to be a scout, your family will starve.
  20. huskynation

    Boyle is horrible

Not impressed with him, he needs alot of work, should have redshirted. He had bad footwork, wasn't stepping into his throws, erratic throws, was having trouble reading coverage, and for a guy that's 6'4'' he holds the ball too low. 15 of 43 149 yards, and he should have had 5 picks.

    Letter to Warde

Regarding the Uconn football situation, it is going to fall into your hands now, as AD you are responsible. Don't be the AD that stood by watching while the program crumbles and becomes one of the worst in all of FBS. PP, GDL and yourself are creating a culture of losing. A bottom-feeder. You...

Whitmer is not a D1 QB

Really, did you notice on his pick he had a perfect pocket and time. He cannot read coverages, he doesn't go through his progressions, and he started holding the ball too long and taking sacks. I don't know what second half you were watching.
  24. huskynation

Whitmer is not a D1 QB

This is the thing XH is more of a te than a tackle. he's not strong enough and why they don't they have Levy is there who is 6'5'' 320 with good athleticism. For example Obi M. is clearly better that A. Adams but if Adams didn't get hurt he would be starting. Same thing with Mack and Ja...

Whitmer is not a D1 QB

I give him credit he has guts and he is better than j. mac. But he has no athleticism, a weak arm, he throws to many picks, doesn't read defenses that well and he gets flustered in the pocket with happy feet. Its hard to win with this guy. Oh I forgot he's short also. There is no upside to...

10 Reasons why PP must Go ASAP. We can't afford to wait through another season.

He has embarrassed Uconn Football since he has become coach (that's a fact!). He anointed GDL to be coaching royalty, despite the fact that whatever GDL's touches turns to trash ( see OL that has become one of the worst in all of college football! Offense for 2 years under GDL's enlightened...

    McCummings Injured?

This definitely makes sense. Switching to a new new position, especially from qb to wr when the player has never played the position in his life carries increased risks. The unfamiliar movements and lack of muscle memory, probably even incorrect technique helped to increase risk of injury. Now...

Wildcat experiment meets ignominious end- McCummings moved to WR per Jim Fuller

I wouldn't be surprised if SM is off this team before the end of the month. 60 percent chance in my opinion. Its pretty clear he's not focused on football and this probably explains his lack of development. My gut tells me he is gonna transfer.

    WARNING BLEACHER REPORT ARTICLE...

An 8-5 season is easier said than done. While maybe we might have the talent to do it, the trend from the past two seasons says that something is off with how the team is being prepared and how they execute on the field. The talent is not maximized and the scheme and game planning are change...
