Duke is gonna turn it around with Mason Gillis’ 6 points and 4 rebounds. That should do it. He was so invisible in the championship game I had to look up if he actually played. 0 points 4 rebounds on the biggest stage.
I dont like looking at NBA careers on stuff like this. I mean, Hawkins is an NBA lottery pick, and should have a long professional career. Cam Spencer in 2024 is unequivocally a better college player Hawkins in 2023, and was largely an upgrade at the 2. How they do at the next level doesnt...
UK has a larger fan base than Uconn, and they will outdraw us in any neutral site venue, including MSG. With that said, they'll outdraw just about ANY other school.
Can someone explain that cylinder call where burns elbowed the dude into the cheerleaders, then tossed the ball into the stands in frustration? They appeared to have reversed the call as a foul on the Marquette player.
Howabout Tuxedo Junction in Danbury? Highlights back in the mid 90's to early 2000's were Helmet (my first concert), Oasis (did not attend), Korn (did not attend), Hatebreed, George Clinton (free show!).
Saw Dropkick Murphy's at the Tune Inn around 1998. A huge brawl broke out at the end of the show, but otherwise was great. That little venue had some great punk shows over the years it was open.
I did think was more dramatic, but we looked like we forgot how to play basketball during that January stretch. No one anywhere thought we were a threat after losing that 6th game. Hell, after nearly blowing a huge lead to providence then losing to Marquette in the BET, no one predicted we’d...
Who were metric darlings in late January last season? It sure as hell wasn’t UConn after we lost the whole month. We became metric darlings as we started stacking win after win, and then started winning with blowouts in March and April.
Do you forget UConn/st John’s game for the last 30 years? They also currently have the best coach over that span. This is a top 50 team with a HOF coach. Good win.
Your telling me that Texas, UNC, Kansas (we were two inches from winning), UNC and Gonzaga all somehow missed this blueprint to beating us comfortably...but four loss Seton Hall somehow cracked the code? This game was so insane I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. It is so similar to...
i had to read about this contract more. The way I understand it, it’s somehwat akin to earning interest on a 10 year/460 million dollar contract….hence the 700 million value in 10 years. Fascinating stuff.
if you have a choice of taking money now, or taking it in 10 years, the correct answer is always now. That kind of money invested, compounded over 10 years is an incredible amount to leave on the table.
My head is spinning thinking of the compounding interest Ohtani is leaving off the table by deferring for 10 years. I bet it’s well into 9 figures even using conservative ROR. The dodgers can probably fund a huge portion of the back end with that interest alone.
You’re the one comparing Roy and Hubert’s first three years at UNC as if it means anything. Roy was a borderline HOFer when he came to UNC...and Hubert likely wont be UNC's coach in three years.
Dont compare Roy and Hubert. Roy had 400+ wins and a couple final fours at Kansas before even stepped foot on the UNC campus. Hiring a first time head coach at a big time program has a 99% chance of failure.
At one point in the second half, I think there were 14 fouls on Uconn, and 4 fouls on Carolina...and we were leading by double digits. That is insane.
The second half fouls evened out after that.
For as much talent that 1995 Kansas team had, they had 6 losses and got bounced in the sweet 16 by 4 seed Virginia, at Kemper Arena. Did they have injuries or something?
We had Clingan needing to lose weight, get in shape, and get replaced by Samson all within hours of the game ending. Lots of hot takes on BY for this game.
Just about every decision the Broncos have made in the last 5-7 years has been the wrong one. Drafting defense instead of Josh Allen in favor of Case Keenum. Passing on Kyle Shanahan for Vance Joseph (then rehiring Vance as DC when all data points to he sucks at DC too). Selling the farm for...
Even the 1st goal…it was one of many hopeless crosses, only this one was saved by a moment of brilliance by McKennie, followed by a lucky deflection.
I thought de la torre was doing pretty well until he broke his nose.
“He’s offering nothing” Pundit slams Havertz after poor performance
I always see Kai Havertz as the guy that relegated Pulisic to the bench at Chelsea. Even after a several month long poor stretch of play, with Pulisic crushing the knockout stages…Havertz was the guy that put Pulisic on the...
