Totally agree on the sideline take down of Edwards. Geno’s history is to not play someone when he’s sending a message. Especially if he’s not happy with their practice. Could be the case with Ice.
I think she has a better shot than Kia ever developed. And don’t really agree on Q. She shoots well when set and when she has plenty of time. Her rushed shots can be way off.
Agree 100% on those drives and Paige then tumbling. I was watching Clark in a game recently with drives and contact by defenders, but she was not ending up on the floor. Different body types.
Her driving ability is excellent and and it is an offensive threat. As someone else pointed out, her drives caused some of their bigs to pick up fouls which forced them to sit. She’s fearless driving in and will learn to avoid being blocked by taller players.
I mostly agree with you, but when there are no other players reliable draining shots, the defensive focus on her is constant and intense. I wish she would drive less and find more jumpers, as you said.
I was surprised by Edwards’ play in this game. She was battling for a lot of rebounds that just didn’t go her way. But offensively, she was almost invisible. She is capable of a nice jumper from just outside the lane and barely took any and also wasn’t hitting the few she took. Hoping for a...
Parity. This is a very different time from the “used to” period in UCONN women’s basketball. It’s amazing to see the skill set of so many first year players.

I don’t view the others on Iowa as deadly shooters. It’s Clark and her big who score must of their points, game in and...
Boston did not have a great game. But one game does not define a player. I remember Taurasi crying after a playoff game when she could not hit a shot—wanted to put the team on her back, but just not her night. It happens.
