    OT: Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Read the below link first to get my comments in proper context. Lack of aggressive action especially from Pacman, of all people, quite disappointed me. I had not seem him fight this so lackluster- but for a few flurries (maybe 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th rounds, I have to re-watch the fight, of...

OT: Boxing: Mayweather and Pacquiao rumors

The bet still stands should the fight materialize. I suggest the winner donate half of it to Alzheimer's Organization. And I'll take the other half of your money and return it you. The bet was never off. It's engaging your weak mind that horrifies me. An old man with a weak mind like yours is...

OT: Boxing: Mayweather and Pacquiao rumors

yeah, it will be a running clinic since pac's hits too hard. someone's got to run for dear life. that's why weak-willed soft-feathered May does not want to fight. been running for 5 years.

I can't. You are too old for me. I want younger fights. I pick my size.

OT: Boxing: Mayweather and Pacquiao rumors

It looks like you are running away from my challenge. I guess it has to be you asking of him because you suggested that scenario in the first place. I never factored fighting with one hand in my scenario whether as a joke or not. I guess you have to eat your own dust for making a silly remark...

OT: Boxing: Mayweather and Pacquiao rumors

It's obvious even to casual boxing fans that Mayweather is dodging the bullet - for at least 5 years now. The sickening fear of losing his no-loss record to Pacquiao is too real for May. It's not the money or those other issues. Pacman simply represents a clear (best) threat to his perfect...

    Purvis reminds me of . . .

I'm surprised we have not seen this athleticism on a regular basis at Uconn. Someone speculated that maybe his injuries had played a part. Maybe we should wait till early March for him to show his real stuff. I'd hope it's not too late for that.

Thanks SubbaBub. This was the article I was trying to post but my laptop powered out and forgot to finish up after I found the power cord.

    XLent Attendance

Great idea if coupled with a parking facility to boot. Any thoughts on what may happen to Gampel Pavilion? Tear it up or donate it to the women's team?

Am I less of a fan because..

My nephew does not attend Uconn but he roots for it almost as much as I do. Blame that on Kemba from 2011. In fact, he created/suggested my Boneyard handle because he is an avid fan of Manny Pacquio, the great boxer from the western side of the Pacific rim.

Rothstein on UConn: Elite Defensive Team

After only 13 games, Uconn has picked up 60% more wins than losses. Talk about what elite defense can do for you. The best is yet to come with the Huskies since the offense is getting better. Hopefully, the defense as good as it has been, would hold up till the end. When Hamilton and Cassell...

What do you think of that Boat/Purvis/DHam graphic?

I agree on TSam being Boat's true Robin but I feel Hamilton is the greater x-factor more than Brimah since it is Ham who dishes lobs to Brimah. Without Ham feeding him, Brimah's offensive output would be much lower.

Hamilton to Brimah - The Deadly combo examined

Yeah, I agree. I notice it, too, and so do other teams, of course. Maybe the Uconn guards, particularly Ham, could run the alley oop to the left side with Facey when he and Brimah are on the floor together to keep the other teams guessing. Since Facey is going to the basket anyway when the...

    "Kevin Kourts"

You are saying there is no God. Because if there is one, and I do believe in that, then He would care and do something about it. I think what you meant is that KO and his wife should be the main players in this mess. I agree. But God is up there and not nowhere and He likes to be a helper in...

    Billy Donovan

It was not a case of Donovan being bad at all. He is a a very good one, in fact. Uconn just tightened up its defense in the last 10 minutes. Even Duke felt this for the most part without Amidah on the floor. Temple felt this especially . Except for miscommunications, the last few seconds in...

    Question, any intel on 'Bazz?

Does Cleveland have a better choice now that the team is not playing well? Plus, Lebron "owes" Bazz one.

Amida Brimah Highlights vs. Coppin State

If Amida plays well against Duke, he more than likely goes to the NBA in June and we get Stone on a platter. Stone wants Uconn but worries about sharing time with Amida, Go Amida! Stop Okafor!

    Can KO Reshuffle the Deck?

Well, he may not have to pass out the ball when he himself can toss in 40 just like that. Of course , it was against Coppin. Let's see what he does in the Duke game.

    Duke Thoughts

Uconn has a real chance if they can put Okafor in early and late foul trouble and Brimah is able to play at least 25 minutes whether foul-plagued or not. The one guy I believe who can challenge Okafor on drives to the hoop is Hamilton who can induce maybe 2 fouls. He's very crafty with high IQ...

    Can KO Reshuffle the Deck?

So far, your suggestions seem to carry the most promise. Having Brimah frequently involved in the offense as a first or 2nd option should improve the ball movement only the players are also moving. In the last 2 losses, the ball was moving only around the perimeter. Brimah being a good passer...

    Daniel Hamilton=Coffee Black?

Yes, he's that good, he's a one-and-done, unfortunately. Let's just hope he can help us get to the Final Four. In March, Hamilton could be unstoppable and should be a last-sec0nds-go-to man like Boat as well. The real question is how high does he want to be in the draft? If he wants to be a...

I an now convinved we can beat any team on any given day

Hamilton/Purvis can decently defend Holmes. Also, let the guards funnel Holmes into Brimah. Texas may not be able to get into their offensive rhythm with Taylor being out. Plus, in a home game - our players will be more composed, hopefully. If these things happen in Uconn's way, we can hope for...

Steve Ballmer to buy the Clips for $2 Billion

Sterling, using calculated risk, did everything on purpose in order to raise the franchise value to where it is now. From a 13 mil purchase a few decades ago, up to 2 bil is quite a leap. The way the events happened - the tape, the woman (his accessory), the impending divorce from his wife all...

I will never forget those 3 straight free throws he made in that game. I know of a Uconn fan in who saw that game who said he could feel the nail drop on the floor in each throw.
