    Social Media Engagement

Love how we're talking about a threepeat as if it's something that's already happened, not something that would be monumentally difficult. You can be good on social media and also win trophies.

    2024 Recruiting: Liam McNeeley

What? El-Amin was absolutely the primary ball handler, ahead of Ricky Moore, from day 1.

Big Blue Nation having a very normal Tuesday

When Dean Smith retired from UNC, they gave the job to longtime assistant Bill Guthridge, and it was a disaster. When they had to replace him, they got turned down by Roy Williams, flailed around for a bit, and gave the job to Matt Doherty, who had exactly one year under his belt at Notre Dame...

    Predictions for 24-25 season

After our 2014 run, with two titles in four years, someone on here said as far as he was concerned, we had a 50-50 shot to win the title again in 2015. That seemed crazy, and was proven to be crazy. Saying that in 2024 in regards to 2025 -- does not seem crazy.

Big Blue Nation having a very normal Tuesday

Love the speculation about Tony Bennett. Would be awesome to see Kentucky put up 33 in a first-round loss.

    Purdue’s defense

Purdue only had a day officially, but if you're in that position and you weren't scouting UConn the entire season preparing for a tournament matchup it's total malpractice.

    Florida after repeating

The transfer portal changes everything, but it's worth looking back on the last teams to repeat as NCAA champions. They fell off the map. Florida won in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, they lost all their starters and were in the NIT. In 2009, NIT again. In 2010, they were back in the tournament and...

Big Blue Nation having a very normal Tuesday

Seems likely to end poorly. He's been in the SEC forever, but Kentucky is a national job. This is a Southern thing. He's not a Southerner. Maybe doesn't matter.

Big Blue Nation having a very normal Tuesday

Not saying we weren't but the fact that we were in the Final Four last year, the women are in it almost every year, and the other teams (especially Purdue) had been waiting for this forever has to be accounted for. People only travel cross country so much

Ranking the All Time UConn teams from Dream Season and on

2014 is impossible to rank. They were up and down in the regular season, probably a top 10-15-ish team. Blown out by Louisville. Then they went through an absolute gauntlet to win the title. Three straight games against the pre-tournament favorite, the postseason No. 1 and the preseason No. 1...

Big Blue Nation having a very normal Tuesday

Do fans realize this stuff is toxic? If there's that much pressure to win constantly, is it worth it? I think I'd rather coach at Baylor. It's not like you can't win there

Ranking the All Time UConn teams from Dream Season and on

Just noting that this list has a team that finished 32-3 in 13th place and I don't particularly disagree

OT. How good is Duke going to be next year?

Is Flagg better than Zion as a college player? Maybe. But the idea that they are favorites when they will have to go through teams with multiple veterans in the tournament flies in the fact of recent history

    Billy Donovan to Kentucky? NM

I rooted harder for Syracuse in that title game than any non-UConn team maybe ever. Also I loved the BC team that took down Carolina a few years before that. Things change, I guess.

    Alums at the game?

You had guys from the Scott Burrell era all the way up to Ryan Boatright and Jordan Hawkins. Another way that shows how long we've been great.

ESPN ranks this 2024 team as the 29th best champion.

I saw people last night trying to talk about past teams with NBA greats. There's no Jordan and James Worthy on this team, basically. Which, fine. But in this era those guys are already in the pros. You have to look at how a team did in context with the competition it faced, and this team blew...

    The Best UConn Team Ever

We went through (some of us) that whole thing of worrying that his bulletproof statement was bulletin board material. Maybe it was. But it completely didn't matter, because he was right.

How did you become a UConn fan?

The Dream Season was my introduction. Followed all through the 90s culminating with experiencing '99 on campus as a senior. Not a bad decade.

    UConn's Greatness

Additionally, 1985 is when the tournament went to 64 teams, so you can make a good argument that's when the event we know and love really got going. That's just five years before our run started. As long as there has been a March Madness as we know it, UConn has been the best. I came of age as...
