Hello to the Boneyard. It's been a while since I posted (I retired from the Baylor faculty a year ago and took a self-imposed hiatus from most sports-related posting).
BU/Niki Collen traveled to Austin this afternoon and won the second home and home. 2-0 sweep of UT for Bears/Collen in...
Hello, Boneyard. Year after year I find myself posting less and less on our own Board, much less other Boards. But I"m here to say regrets about Paige's injury and best wishes for a strong mending for long-term health. And, put me in the line of UConn fans who believe Geno's not anywhere...
Hope to be back at Mohegan Sun for this one. Last time I was there you guys beat our Griner (soph) and Sims (freshman) team.
Due to teaching schedules that was a fly in/fly out trip for me. I didn't sight see one thing. Hopefully this trip can be more relaxed (I'm now retired) and allow...
Your Board is always so much broader in interests and news than just your own I thought you might appreciate this posted on our Baylor Board last week. Three years after she tore her ACL at Baylor and after a second tear in Australia, Kristi Wallace is back with her Melbourne team.
(after the women's coaches lobbied so hard for so long to get the smaller ball, I doubt "one ball fits all" will come back any time soon)
1. Do something about the allowed "step-thru" move. It's traveling, pure and simple. And it allows an offensive player to stagger steps in/around...
As an outsider, I'd love to dine with Geno and Geno's alter ego (if he has one). The mind spinning with the candid language flowing. Keep tipping the wait staff to hold the table and promise not to interrupt as long as the Coach would stay.
If an alter ego is not present, then Maya...
Thanks for posting the article on Stewie (does a baylor prof have permission to call her that? I hope so).
Best wishes in her post-injury game. And best wishes as she continues to relate the game to young people.
Nalyssa Smith has posted that she is staying, welcoming her new coach. Our Board chat says the same thing a out Queen Egbo, but I haven't seen that yet.
I like the hire. Don't take too seriously the "meh" on our chat board. Those guys and gals only showed up two weeks ago and they'll be...
I've been here all along. But Sunday is a work day for some of us, and for me to have posted anything earlier would have been careless. I see "Adriacus" posts here. Don't know that poster personally, but be careful (if the poster on our board by that name is one and the same). LOTS and...
Can we match your 11? NOPE! Don't see us anymore than Stanford doing so.
And for what it's worth, on our best fansite I've never seen anyone, especially the homers, even raise such a question.
Best wishes to the Boneyard in processing. The fact that you're young and loaded for the next several years probably doesn't help much .
As always, the press conference with your Coach Auriemma was pure class.
See you guys next year.
Patience. If "chalk holds" it should be a great game BU vs. UConn (what Covid denied us earlier this year), and regardless of outcome GREAT for wbb. Hope to see your guys in Elite 8 (though would have preferred the brackets steered us, if both successful, to a national title game).
Just one point of clarity is needed about me and 1994.
BU fans bantering with you Boneyard guys is great (and has been for a decade +)
BU fans bantering with each other about BU team stuff on another fanboard . . . seems a bit misplaced.
Out on this one about two BU fans using your Board to...
Baylor 1994. In almost 20 years of being a guest on this Board I've tried to keep intra-university banter on our own Board. See me as SSadler on Sic'em365 and let's talk, leaving these gracious fans without us cluttering their Board. Just a suggestion.
Hello to the Boneyard.
With absolutely NO inside information, . . . calling it now. Should we get the E8 matchup, Didi Richards will not be guarding Buechers (which normally she would, drawing the best opponent backcourt). Don't have a clue who will. Maybe a platoon of Ursin and Jordan...
Hello to the Boneyard
If Creme's chalk holds, looks like BU will have to take care of Tennessee for you; and then hopefully we'll see your guys in Elite 8.
Best wishes, and if you're travelling to San Antonio, by all means give yourself an hour or two to visit the RiverWalk. It's not a...
Congratulations to Coach Auriemma for this milestone, and to your university and you its many fans of women's basketball who have so ardently been along for Geno's career.
Iowa State is a very average wbb team--almost all offense comes from the perimeter. Unfortunately, at this point, my LadyBears look even less than average--like little more than a Sweet 16 type team, if that.
We're really not surprised--disappointed, but not surprised. We just have very...
-Sorry, guys.
It's getting closer and closer to another shut down of the madness in March/April. Be safe.
Hoping your team can re-do travel and get some rest on their own.
CORRECTIONL both coaches out due to contact tracing, not by being diagnosed.
Your guys should be good to go flying in/out of Texas this week. You'll get some of our finest "early Spring" weather--mid 50 degrees and bright sunshine. Too early for the bluebonnets, but still some of our...
Christmas Eve and I'll wait another day to read through the pages. Just a few thoughts from the cheap seats. Gusters and Andrews aren't quite as ready as we had all hoped they would be for meanningful minutes from firstyears. And though I trust KMulkey to know WAY more than i do about our...
I won't vote in your poll; but I will confess that my LadyBears put up a real stinker in Fayetteville tonight. The hopeful side of me says that we're not this weak and Arkansas is not this good--but this afternoon in Fayetteville it sure seemed we had not much game in us.
Our ladies finish...
Regrets on your having to suspend. I'm late getting my sports gears changed (from football;; it's a Texas THANG), so except for a brief peek two weeks ago, I'm just this week started perusing your Board. Our LadyBears missed out on a preseason matchup with Oregon in a Las Vegas showcase...
In Waco we're told 25% of capacity at the Ferrell Center (or, 2,500 seats). BU isn't even offering single game tickets since we have 2,500+ season ticket holders. Out deadline for season ticket renewal is November 11. After that, single game tickets will then be offered accordingly on line.
