    South Florida Post Game Thread

There are some very good players on this team who have been playing their hearts out. But stating the obvious, they've been kneecapped by bad play calling, bad refs and some untimely lapses in performance. IMO it didn't help early in the season when UConn was publicly dissed at the B12 and...

    UConn @ Rice Owls (Saturday 10/7/23 @ 5p EDT. Game on ESPN+)

OMG, that is so awesome; feeling those good vibes here. To be that age again, so full of T. Makes me want to run up Cemetery Hill, if only in my mind. ;-)

Whoever UConn just played post game thread

Ta'Quan's play and presence was the difference maker today. Yeah, others definitely contributed bigly, but Ta'Quan set the tone and they fed off him. JMO.

    NC State Attendance

"What a race folks! 26-30K still has the lead heading into the final furlong, but 21-25k has faded to 3rd and may be running out of gas. It looks like a two horse race now! 30K+ is looking strong and coming up fast on the outside but can he close the distance? What a race! Who would have...

    NC State Attendance

This thread makes me feel like I'm watching a horse race. "They're coming around the final turn now, 21-25k and 26-30k are neck and neck, but here comes 30k+ making a strong move on the outside!". "Under 20k has faded badly so it looks like we've got a three horse race now as they head into...

UConn v. North Carolina State Wolf Pack (Thursday 8/31/23 @ 7:30p on CBSSN)

Personally, my wife and I are always in our seats at least 30 minutes before kick-off. We enjoy the pre-game activities in-stadium, especially the UConn marching band which is phenomenal. Always plays great music. Plus, I need to get our last minute beverage needs taken care of before kick off.

UConn v. North Carolina State Wolf Pack (Thursday 8/31/23 @ 7:30p on CBSSN)

Asking for a friend, is this a new rule? Some tailgating rules, per UConn: Anyone still tailgating 30 minutes prior to the start of the game must either enter the stadium or leave the property.

Can UConn football team upgrade passing game with new group of receivers? Why Jim Mora is confident (Adamec @ Hearst)

HM replied to someone a few days ago that he/she's actually a bot. Maybe HM bot has been upgraded and can now do some generative AI?

Well done. High quality video production. Can't wait to see what this group of pass catchers can do this year.

Poll - Which Conference Do You Favor for UConn?

A CT Quahog (Algonquian, look it up). ;) And if not for a beautiful damsel from TX that floated by me in 1983, I would very happily be one as well, just a little further up the CT coast. CT is the best place to be if you want to experience all New England an NYC have to offer.

    The “New” PAC12

This, and the current round of CR, might be a great case study for UConn's dual JD/MBA degree program. I can already see students' heads exploding.

Possible UConn sugar daddy billionaires in CT. Anyone know if any are UConn alums and/or care enough to pitch in a measly few million dineros to the Husky Athletic Fund? #13. Clifford Asness – Net worth: $1.6 billion (#1,869 wealthiest in the world) – Residence: Greenwich, Connecticut –...

    The future

Yes, but the prospective investor(s) in the UConn brand have to agree on the potential value and fit for their brand, regardless of our position from a media/financial perspective. Maybe BL can comment on this but, in my experience, cultural fit is as important as any other factor in making a...

I'm in North Central Texas where it's been >100 degrees for three weeks (107 yesterday) with no break in sight, wishing I was in Hyannis (actually Nantucket), Myrtle Beach or on an Alaskan Cruise . . . just about anywhere but here. Looking forward to being in CT for the Duke game.

Many flight options to DFW and only 20 miles from there to downtown Ft. Worth and a few more to the TCU campus and new football stadium. The stockyards area is pretty cool, including the longhorn cattle drive down Main Street, the old west store fronts, hotels, saloons, not to mention Billy...

Pretty good opinion piece with the exception of this quote towards the end that sticks in my craw as an alum, fan and competitor (well, at least mentally, now that I'm slightly past my prime): "Football will never be great, but could be competitive, and draw more fan interest." "Will never...
