First game Azzi will not be able to go given timing of her surgery. I don't have a clue what the starting lineup will be in February, but my November lineup is PB, KK, Ice, Ashlyn, Jana.
This isn't a list, but I thought I'd mention one of my favorite players, Ellie Mitchell of Princeton. Just love how she plays. Not a good scorer once you get more than 10 feet from the basket, but wonderful everywhere else (especially defensively and rebounding). Not saying she is the best...
Disagree; Czinano scored well, but was a mediocre defender and a below average rebounder. She also did not scare anyone from attacking the goal. I think the frontcourt of Iowa will score just as well, rebound and defend better, and has more depth this year. By the end of the regular season...
I'm one of the (very small) minority who thinks Iowa will be better in the frontcourt this year: Cinzano scored well, but was a mediocre rebounder and did not guard the post well. I actually think that once they settle in O'Grady and Stuelke will be an upgrade. I'm not saying they'll win it...
I was in Korea for over 7 years and couldn't watch football regularly. When I returned I found my interest has waned. Unlike basketball, I rarely watch anymore.
Can you say how you see their roster working out to make this happen? I'm interested.
Stuelke will be a soph and has physical talent that Czinzano never possessed. Czinano , for all her scoring prowess, was never that good defensively or rebounding. O'Grady, backed up by Solomon will provide...
I think Iowa is going to be stronger in the frontcourt this year despite losing Czinano, and will be stronger in 23-24 than in 22-23. And I agree that it will be a VERY interesting year
I think the SEC is pretty far down this year. Aside from SC and possibly LSU they are pretty weak. Even if they don't improve TN should be in the top four just from a talent perspective.
She's always had the physical talent, but skill development was a problem as she started her bb career so late. I think with a year to work on skills under her belt, she will be really good if she can get the minutes on the floor.
I don't think it would be "amazing" if he has similar accomplishments at Butler (given a few years). He'll be recruiting in the same area with the same contacts and he's a good coach.
Morgan had noticeably better post skills than AE, had a much better outside shot, and played equally good defense without fouling. None of this is to denigrate AE, Morgan Tuck was a hell of a player; limited only by her gimpy knees.
