I’d kinda like UConn to get a NCAA Tourney buzzer beater, the kind that would get play year-after-year. Like if Kemba vs Pitt was in the Elite 8.
But that would mean no more double digit streak so I’ll live….
UConn won the second half of both Boston games by a combined 91-50.
That’s eerily similar to the 91-52 Stetson score. Hurley takes the opponent’s best shot, then comes out at halftime and treats them like a 16 seed. Incredible.
Still amazed by the team’s rebounding effort. 39 boards, only 7 from the center position.
Great to see Solo finally put it all together, you could see his confidence soar out there.
Admittedly 2 of Diarra’s misses were the half court heave, and a forced shot with 1 on the shot clock. But the 3 point line is a definite weakness for him.
If it’s really soon, I can’t imagine they’d retire #32 while Clingan is wearing it.
Maybe retiring Kemba’s number? Seems like he’s out of the NBA for good (sadly), and #15 is free…
I get that. I just saw how much UConn struggled in true road games and wanted to avoid anything like one at all costs. Neutral court, I would’ve taken them against anyone the way they were playing.
Once Miami knocked off Texas. The thought of a home crowd like MSU in 09 (plus a potentially healthy Disu) was the only thing I could see stopping the party.
The use of the word “coach” to describe a commentator. If it’s a retired, successful coach ala Calhoun or Bobby Knight, that’s 100% fine. But quit calling Steve Lappas “coach”.
I thought the energy was good in general, numbers were great. I still think what’s missing is a focal point/leader. Someone like Dale (Blue/White kid), the pink hat guy, and others over the years with that infectious passion to spread it to others in the section.
I didn’t have a problem with fouling since it was the start of the Bonus. Three straight 1-and-1s gave us some chance for a bad bounce. If they’re shooting 2 though I might’ve leaned toward playing tough D.
Unless something else is going on in DMs, I think this is what people are referring to:

It was actually both (for me anyhow). There was a Dunkin tent set up outside the North entrance with fill-your-own cups, and workers handing out $5 cards. Not advertised well though - I only found it because I was looking for it.
Coffee Espresso Crunch, definitely my favorite. Unfortunately I couldn’t tell what flavors the Fudd family had, I literally failed to get the inside scoop.
Not sure about Azzi attending First Night, but she’s on campus today. Geno and CD are talking to her and family in the Dairy Bar (I even googled her family to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me!). Everyone seems happy to me.
Not the PG part (Rivals and Future have him as a SG FWIW). Similar height, good passer, BBIQ, glue guy (insert basketball cliché here)...I admit I'm not extremely familiar with Mulcahy yet, this is just the feel I got from that quote.
This description reminds me a lot of Giffey (who didn't really turn into a knockdown shooter until his Senior year). If Mulcahy is anything like that, he's a lot of what we've been missing recently.
I found this article posted 3 months ago on Jalen Lecque, which quoted him as saying he's 50-50 on reclassifying to 2018.
