What I don’t want to see is UConn gets in the ACC
and before the first season that league blows up. Had enough of that script.
What I’d love to see is UConn in the Big 10 so that league can really own New York City!
In the end, I could see one semi pro power league with multiple divisions, split off from the ncaa. It would be structured like the nfl, with a similar playoff format. Football would be the main
attraction, but basketball soon to follow. Everyone
else would be the farm system.
If receivers were actually open deep and there was time to throw, I think we’d see some deep passes.
l think the coaches mostly call plays that have a reasonable chance of working.
That’s the first time I heard/realized the impact of recent changes on high school recruits. They need to deal with the reality of the portal/nil as well.
Players will be moving in both directions. Hopefully Uconn can manage a net gain from this new reality.
UConn football needs to be in a conference. No top conference will take in a member that doesn’t make them more money. Forget the big boy conferences, they are moving away from weaker teams.
I don’t think the coaches are the problem. The level of recruiting is. There aren’t enough individual battles being won on the field. That’s why nothing works. All these coaches are not that stupid.
How is the Big East going the remain a top BB conference when these power conferences have so much $ from football to pay basketball players?
Also, what happens when “they” break away and drop the scholarship limit and pay players to not play for someone else?
So, what’s the number that is enough to overcome
the embarrassment of joining the Big 12 in basketball only? Screw them and their balls the size of Texas!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this credible?

Apparently there is a good chance the pac 12 is in for major changes. Lots of good schools there for the big 12 to pick from. Of course I hope that doesn’t happen. But what can the pac 12 do if they lose Colorado and Arizona… maybe more?
The big 12 may regret adding those 4 recently added.
