2026 Recruiting: Abdou Toure update 4/15/24

A close friend of mine is his assistant coach. Great kid. Loves Uconn.

    Just an amazing team

What a special team. We had 4 different leading scorers the last 4 games. Played the game the right way.
  3. S

    UConn and the Transfer Portal

Do we have any shot at Maxime Raynaud? Kid is like 7 ft 1 - avg closed to 16 pts and 10 rebounds and shot 36% from 3. Seems like the perfect fit to start in front court with Johnson and allows Steward to play the 3.

6’6” sophomore is probably top prospect in CT

I can tell you as of today Uconn is his #1 choice. Hoping we start getting involved with him sooner rather than later.

What time is the 2004 team being honored on Sunday?

Will the ceremony be streaming anywhere?

Will we play more zone tonight?

Definitely need to play some Zone - - we don't have the beef to handle Soriano Man to Man all game

    Time to start Castle

    He's Starting !!!

    Updates on Clingan ankle ?

I don't think they got the Kobe"s yet. Not good that he injured the same foot though.
  10. S

    Time to start Castle

With Clingan out we need all the length and rebounding help we can get . Plus it gives us another guy who can take his guy off the dribble which will we need now that we don't have Clingan in the low post. Plus he can throw the lob to Samson off a pick and roll

    Seton Hall Post Game Thread

Last year they beat us because we let them get to the hoop instead of forcing them to shoot jumpers. We made the same mistake tonight. Why are we pressuring Seton Hall 25-28 feet from the hoop when they shoot 30%? Mind boggling - couldn't agree more

    UNC Post Game Thread

Disagree. Spence is like 90% and we know Tristan and Alex will shoot a high % as well. The only player we need to worry a little about at the free throw line is Clingan. Hopefully he can get his % closer to 60% . Nice to see DC convert both free throws late in a 1 and 1 situation

ITM, Hawk continues to fly high

Jordan didn't play a minute against the Kings last night and he's healthy. Apparently now that all the starters are back Jordan is out of the rotation. He's been the 3rd best rookie. New Orleans needs to trade somebody. Kid is too goo to rot on bench

    Mississippi Valley Post Game Thread

I really think Clingan should just move back 3 or 4 inches when at the free throw line. All his free throws seem to miss long. I think this would help

r/CollegeBasketball user claims to have insider info on Cooper Flagg -> UConn*

Flaggs parents sold their house in Maine and just bought a house in Florida. I think we definitely have a chance but I would feel better about landing him if his parents were still living in Maine

The mothers not only played basketball together but they were also very close friends.

    Make it make sense

Great post. I’m not sure what the answer is. Hopefully someone on this board can explain because your math makes sense to me

I’m sick of being a bridesmaid

Seriously this is crazy. Now we are out and Utah is in. When Maryland left the ACC twitter was buzzing that we were in and then Louisville swooped in. In 2011 we were suppose to go to ACC with Cuse and we were blocked by BC. How can a school with so much athletic prowess and notoriety...

    Too High Expectations

Michael Leblanc - but at least his unheralded high school teammate Jake Voskul way a key to helping us win our first title.

Andre Jackson is Staying in the Draft

Absolutely the right decision. Wish him all the best. The kid bleeds Husky Blue. Go Andre !

    Transfer Portal April 2023

Really like this kid's game. Unfortunately you know he's going somewhere where he is guaranteed to start. With the status of Jackson and Newton up in the air doubt he would entertain coming to Uconn . Plus with Karaban already here he probably doesn't see us as a good fit
  22. S

Clingan going to work this summer!

Or he can just move back a tad!

UConn men's basketball team will take European trip in August

Then they get to Hawaii later in year. You would think we should be able to get a good transfer for sure with these trips alone
  24. S

    Portal

Anyone think Simas Lukosius would be a good fit? 6ft -6 SF - shot like 38% from 3 and can also rebound
  25. S

    Nick Timberlake to Kansas

    That's a killer. Ughhh
  26. S

    Alleyne to the transfer portal

Thanks Nahiem. Really stepped it up the 2nd half of the season and played a key role in us getting the 5th championship. From everything your hear he is even a better person . Wish him all the best and will continue to root for him.

Thanks Adama! Hopefully headed to the Wall of honor. Forever a legend

Best Husky team of all time

Agrees that 2004 team is definitely the best - WHAT I DON'T AGREE with is that article had that 90s Arkansas championship team ahead of the our 04 team. No way 04 loses to Corliss Williamson and Scotty Thurman
  29. S

    Chief’s Briefs - St Mary’s Edition

agree with this - we need to play a more shell like man to man especially against a team like Arkansas which doesn't shoot it well from 3
  30. S

    UConn Arkansas

Just play Shell Man - we shouldn't extend our defense too far out like we did tonight against a team this athletic. If we do it will open lanes for them to get to the rim and we will rack up the fouls
  31. S

    Alum at games

Fellas - I was at the game - they announced everyone but Bouk. They put Facey on the Jumbo Tron, then Cole and T. Martin, and then S. Wane. They even put Souleymane Wane highlights on the Jumbo Tron.

    Creighton Post Game Thread

Newton can't go anywhere when the guy who should be guarding Jackson is instead sitting in the paint to help stop dribble penetration by Newton
  33. S

    Hurley threads (merged)

Absolutely correct. If AJ is in the game he needs to ben in the post. When he's on the perimeter it's 4 vs 5. That said we need to go 2-3 zone and double big more often
  34. S

Newton needs to be more involved

100% agree with this. If we come out double big in a 2-3 zone against Seton hall we will win by 20
  35. S

Newton needs to be more involved

Guys it's hard for Newton to penetrate when the guy that should be guarding Jackson is hanging around in the pain to help stop Newton
