    UConn vs Louisville

I think that UConn should embrace the skipped game and give its players an opportunity to rest and recuperate. This could prevent unnecessary injuries because players are exhausted and trying to give their all during a regular series game.

UConn - Georgetown post game - Big East Champions!

Awesome win! Not bad for a team with only 7 players. Paige is Paige, thank goodness. Brady again showing everyone what she has for tools. Really great performance and the rest of the gang performed well beyond expectations. Now onward to the tournament.

You have to be as old as me to remember that. All though that I was not there, I had multiple relatives that served with the 101 st. Tough guys!

    UConn-Providence post game thread

A good win! The Battered Bastards of Bastogne did it again. Very sorry for Edwards. Seems like a good amount of 3's. I liked especially the contribution of Ice Brady. Hope that Edwards can come back to play even with a new mask.

    UConn-DePaul postgame thread (merged)

What I liked best about the game yesterday was watching both Edwards and Ice playing together on the floor together. The Team seemed to jump ahead by a few points to that period of time.

Carla Berube would have to be front runner to replace Geno

I would like to see Dawn Staley. SHE can really recruit, especially the bigs and take less than great players and turn them into championship contenders in a tough league.

    UConn-Creighton postgame

Well, the first half was stink city for both teams. The second half the clouds parted and the sun began to shine for UConn. All well and good but they cannot play lilke that and survive in the big tournement. Moving forward into the breech.

All we can do is enough

I usually have a contrarian view which is usually crapped on by the UConn faithfull. However, it is encouraging to see in print what I have been calling for over the last 5 years. Because Tony sas it now, this may become the mantra of the UConn followers. "What I learned from yesterday is we...

    UConn - SJU post game

Glad that they won. Looked like a Edwards and Bueckers game with support from a few others. How ST Johns came within 7 points towards the end of this game is a mystery to me. Well, onward to the next one and the end of the season.

    UConn - Villanova Post Game

I am glad that they won. What I saw was UConn played the same for all 4 quarters and that Villanova broke down and completely deteriorated in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The way UConn plays disturbs me. The Team does not play with the same precision and snap as they did in past teams. This team...

I was asleep for the first half

I have said in the past while receiving "angry" responses that this team is right where it is suppose to be in the Big East. The recruitng in the last 10 years achieved some really dramatic and excellent players but not the correct mix for a championship team. Laugh if you want, but little...

    UConn - Marquette post game

By the end, it was a good win. This definitely is a Paige centric team. She is a great player who plays fearlessly and with abandon. I fear a great injury will occur before the end of this season and it will be over. So goes Paige, so goes the team. This team is short and sassy.

    UConn vs. DePaul post game

So the tiny team from CT defeated the mediocre team from Chicago with great defense by all who played. I really am happy to see Amari and Inez play. Well done!

UCONN @ Seton Hall post game thread

There was a lot of "drama" in this game including a young women in the 4th quarter walking along falls from a sprained anlle with no one around her. Glad it finished with a win for the Team.

    UConn - St. John postgame

I liked the game because they won. They are not the greatest teaam in the world but certainly good enough to overwelm SJ. Really glad to see Ice have a great game to build her self confidence. Games like this give everyone good self confidence because they play, score and win. Unfortunately...

UConn proving they are a top 4 team

I always appreciate your posts, Tony, especially knowing how much thought that you put into each one. I have a different take on this. UConn, being in the Big East is right where it belongs and has the kind of competition that it requires. The confidence comes because of winning and experience...

It's Been a Befuddling Season so Far

UConn's style of play is exciting if they are playing a short team like they are and if the young shooters are making baskets.

    Solving the rebounding problem

This is all well and good but it cannot replace two 6 ft 6 in centers with an additional 48 inch of reach. This is called the Dawn Staley theory of basketball.

    The Time Has Come

That's the point. They do not have to be elite players. They can be athletes who can be trained to be elite players.

    The Time Has Come

Well said. Better than I could ever do. Well, folks, as I said in the past and have repeated many times, we need a couple of big 6' 8" players with beef. In addition we need a strong strategy to recruit an attract these players with an aggressive training program when they arrive on how to be...

What’s the long term plan for Amari?

You know, I really do not know Amari and I do not know why Geno parks her on the end bof the bench, but I can see that she has been relegated to obscurity as Geno has done to many of his recruits of the past. She is an adult and should act responsibly on a scholarship and Geno should actively...

We need more players to shoot the ball

I agree with those that we need more baskets to be made, more foul shots made, more layups and more 3 pointers. Every year hopes and dreams are well defined from new players and old players that may have regained their health from injuries received from the prior season and poof: nothing...

UCONN - NC State post mortem thread

I have said it before and I will say it again. This team is too short. We need height and beef down under and that is what wins championships. That is why South Carolina is always a top contender.
