It was posted sarcastically in response to a series of posts about Duke's recruiting, their stockpiling recruits and the fact that they can only play 5 players at a time and there is still only one basketball. But read all the posts.
That's what folks were saying about the previous class. They weren't simply looking at them as a bridge class ("You guys just keep us afloat til we get more talented players next year").
That's because all the naive Flaggs and Bongos of the top HS recruits fall for the dream that they will be the "man" in that program. News flash, that ain't the case. Who's next in shattered dreams in spring of '25.
All these players leaving Duke. Hope Flagg and others are seeing this. This is them next year with a new crop of newcomers entering. Where did all these "smart" Dookies think they were all gone play? There is only one basketball guys.
If Dybantsa, Thomas, Acuff and Aristode come to UConn it will result in another NC in my opinion. UConn, DH and these players will continue the Blue Chip tradition.
UConn is probably losing four starters. That's a lot of talent gone missing. I just don't get why it is seemingly so difficult to get top players lining up to get a UConn offer (both portal and high school). Don't wanna hear about hard UConn practices. That's a given and that's important. But I...
The players (Maluach and Stewart) who are listed that are ahead of him on the depth chart. Better opportunity for immediate playing time . . . UConn. But maybe he prefers to sit and learn like Singare did this year.
WTF! The refs let him bump, bump, elbow his way to a shot. He looked like Domask from Illinois. Maybe the strategy should be to take someone that probably wouldn't get playing time (Singare?) and have had him absolutely hammer the hell out of Edey once or twice. "Keep up the s- - -, a'whole"...
Sears, he be home on Monday.. Andrew Hurley be on the floor with 17 seconds left in game on Monday (hopefully not getting cheap shorted again) and then cutting net a few minutes later.
I don't post on the women's page often. Very seldom. But I want to acknowledge and commend the defensive performance by Nika Muhl against Kaitlin Clark. She was terrific and deserved to be going to the finals. She was awesome.
Wrong. Fair and square? BS. The game needed to be decided on a final made or missed shot. It needed to be decided by a defensive stop or an offensive score, not the referees.
Like to go back to concept of college sports being amateur. Schools could offer athletic scholarships that would cover the cost of a college education. As far as on the court, athletes play because they love the sport. If they don't, then don't take the scholarship. A star QB should not get paid...
Illinois' Domask literally bumps, bangs and elbows defenders to create space for his shots. WTHeck ? How much contact is he allowed to get away with? All game long. NFL WR's don't get that much leeway. Thinking if that's how the game is gonna be called, take an expendable off the bench and have...
