Who starts , when you have that much (healthy) talent , is going to be a nice problem for Geno to finally have. He will be smiling all the way to the Final Four Championship.
GO HUSKIES.
I thought the refs let Colorado get a little too physical and handsy. But Creighton played thru it and showed toughness. Obviously a trait built up by playing in the BE.
GO BE !!
Also good game to give the injured a little run to see if they are sore (Liv) (Paige) , or still have the woozie's (Caroline). All that might be required is Huskies get a 25pt lead or so , and then Geno throw the injured Husky a bone of 5min.
Oldude , I agree, somewhat......But I look at it as if we're somewhat in Purgatory. Caught somewhere between Heaven and hell. Not quite in hell. With a strong chance of going to Heaven if we handle this situation right and listen to coach.
These injuries , to many starters and frontline...
This was just one(1) game people. Just 1game! What does Geno do with Dorka , as with the whole team , you get better. You work and practice even harder. You fix your mistakes.
The one thing you don't do is throw out the baby with the bath water.
The only problem I see with Paige is that we only have one(1) of her.
Now if we had about 3 or 4 of her , maybe one 6'5 , and one about 6'2, there would be no need for a thread like this.
I hate that she wants to transfer.....But having depth at any position is a Coach's dream. That's why coaches recruit multiple players at a position, to guard against injuries , foul trouble , and unfortunately , transfers.
I truly wish her well wherever she lands.
I for one wish her the best. She was well sought after and will help any team.
Bottom line , we can't get them all. And I am happy with the ones we did get.
GO HUSKIES.
Yes, I believe that she's really , really, freaking good. My concerns are health and physicality of the game. Other teams will probably subject Azzi to the same physical treatment they gave Paige. Essentially try beating her up .....bumping , being handsy , pushing her out, etc. Teams will...
Ice, Ayanna , and Kiki attending First Night....WOW ! This may not be Christmas , but it's certainly sounds like Thanksgiving to me. Thankful that Kiki will be attending with 2 girls Committed to Uconn. But she could make it feel like Christmas if she decides to join them with a later...
Alydar, my thought exactly......I think she was a little concerned about the knee in trying to drive into the paint. It will take some time to get her confidence back where she will drive in without any worry. Psychologically it had to be a concern or worry.
Four(4) would be nice but I would settle for half of that. Two(2) sounds great if it starts at the 2022 NCAA's. Undoubtedly the coaching is there , and the talent as well. The only thing missing is the execution.
Four is a Rarity for wcbb....even for some of wcbb's best teams. Only Uconn...
Hillsman had a style all his own, either you liked it or you didn't. But I think he will be a better coach at his next stop. Assuming there is a next stop. At least he should now know what he should not do whether guilty or not.
Syracuse is a good job for someone. Big , ACC , high profile ...
Sometimes you think you know someone, but then you find out you don't know anything. I knew Kibitzer was a good and loyal BY'er , but I didn't know he was a war hero many times over.
Thank You Kib for your service.
To me Chrystyn's MVP year will boil down to her health and confidence. If she can remain healthy and maintain her level of confidence she can be MVP material.
I think so....Staying for her senior season , and getting that extra season of seasoning will help her game. Plus , she will have other weapons on the floor with her to help get her open.
All said and done, I think she will have a good senior season and be a 1st rounder.
The question is whether Kim is running home to Louisiana , or running away from battling Vic Schaefer in Texas for the best talent. Mulkey is a great coach and will certainly elevate LSU. But at the same time Baylor will suffer from her absence and Schaefer's presence at U. of Texas.
If its something in wbb, she can do anything she wants to. Play (and break some more records, mostly her own) , coach , become part of ownership or management , or simply retire and watch the game.
With all of DT's accomplishments she's earned the right to be involved in wbb in any capacity...
