In my mind one of the issues the NCAA has is the price of tickets. Worcester hosts NCAA Hockey on a fairly regular basis. If BC is playing I will likely go to the game, price doesn’t matter. If BC isn’t playing I am not paying $40.00 for a ticket. I am not bringing kids at $27.50 per ticket...
I used to be a regular parker on Hammond Pond Parkway. New regulations and parking no longer available there. Had a warning on my car after the first game, haven't been back since. Not sure if they are ticketing or towing. Another shot by Newton at BC.
I suggest food, popcorn and pretzels. While they are eating they tend to sit still. Unfortunately their stomachs aren't big enough to get you through the whole game. Recent experience with a now four year old grandchild.
Good luck!
UConn averaged just over 22,000 per home game last year but you will bring 30,000 to Gillette? You had a recent home game at Fenway and overall attendance was 20,133 but UConn will sellout Fenway?
Technically that was a UConn home game that they negotiated, for a fee, to move to Fenway. The question here is whether the game is a UConn home game, Syracuse home game or a true neutral site game. If a true neutral site game I anticipate both teams get paid something.
A local high school player died from this back in 2010. AED was locked in an office and not at the field. Once EMTs arrived it was too late. Family has done a lot to raise awareness and provide AEDs.
Very scary situation...
At a football game the BC Band plays far more than the UConn Band.
BC does have a glorified High School Band, but they do get to play with the Boston Pops. BC is a private University without a formal music program, not a major State University with a music program. As I mentioned earleir...
I agree with everything you say about the base amenities at The Rent. Seating was very nice, especially the space between rows. Actually room for people to get by as they enter and leave. I seldom buy more than a soda whenever I am at a game so didn't observe much about the concessions.
I...
First and likely last time experiencing the UConn game day experience. Just commenting on what I saw and heard. A visiting fan who came to support his team.
See you in Chestnut Hill next year.
Flowers does not return kicks, only punts. However he should not have been returning punts, especially after his first drop. He has been an on going worry back there all year. Only drawback to his game.
Ouch, I am hurt an offended. I thought you were my friend all this time!
Overall I had a good time at the game today, my first visit to the Rent. Nice stadium. Huge difference between the press box side, where we sat in the first half, in the shade vs the sun side where we sat in the...
No, I beleive that Mora made the right decision not going for the field goal. The risk of a blocked kick, though low, was a play that puts BC back in the game. Making BC go down the field, which they hadn't really done all day, was the best option.
Still waiting for BC to be "heavily promoting our game"? I am a season ticket holder and still haven't received an email. I typically average 3 to 4 emails a week and not one has promoted BC at UConn.
