PGA Tour and LIV Agree to Merger

I believe this entire situation goes back at least 5 years when the Saudi's were in discussions to acquire the then European Tour and combine it with the Asian Tour. PGA leadership saw this as serious threat and cut the Saudi's in line by purchasing a minority stake in the European Tour (DP...

    Kansas punishment

2017--my personal favorite. 5-star frosh Billy Preston gets into accident just before season begins. The car he's driving is a loaded Dodge Charger which is leased in the name of his deceased grandmother from Florida. Came out during the trial that Addidas had paid for the car. Self and KU...

Classic. That Marquette team had Jimmy Butler and Wes Matthews Jr. on the roster as well. BE in its heyday.

A.J. Price had a phenomenal game at Marquette in '09. 36 points (8-13 from 3).

ESPN to be flushed down the toilet by Big10??? Certainly looks that way!

Assuming the NY Post story is accurate (NBC contracting for B10 prime time games), what effect does this have on NBC future negotiations with ND football?

    OT: Open Championship

Rory wedge game is what cost him. Drove the ball beautifully. Just didn't hit the wedges close enough. Season long statistics bear that out. It's really the only so-called weakness in his game right now.

Three days in Chicago: Where should we stay? What should we do? What should we eat and drink?

Additionally, if you are walking around the Loop in general vicinity of Sears Tower (now Willis), a stop at Old St. Pat's Church and Union Station may be cool to admire the architecture. Old St. Pat's was one of only a handful of structures to survive the Great Chicago Fire.

Three days in Chicago: Where should we stay? What should we do? What should we eat and drink?

Twin Anchors in Old Town for ribs. IDK they are open for lunch during week but perhaps on weekends. Not a fancy place when compared to what other posters' recommended, but an institution.

2022 UConn Football Commit - Jack Stewart (New Canaan, CT)

Read somewhere that he graduated in 3 years from UM. Congratulations to the young man on his hard work and determination in achieving that and best of luck in his next chapter with the Huskies.

Former New Canaan HS OL leaving UM (in portal)

    Avelo Airlines at Tweed

Based on feedback from friends, its really hit or miss. Some have had convenient and hassle free experiences. Others have had flights cancelled (granted due to weather) with only rebooking option 3 or so days later due to lack of available seats and only one flight per day.

    OT: Visiting Memphis

FedEx HQ was a customer so I called on them several years. My advice is to avoid downtown and search out a place on the outskirts where the food will be better and less expensive. FedEx people took to me to Midtown (Overton Square) neighborhood several times. I think you'll find what you're...

    Hawaii Honeymoon Advice

Pre-internet days when I booked this 25 years ago. IIRC, I used miles for entire flight and when AA sent me the paper ticket, it included some vouchers which could be redeemed for AA hotel, car rental partners, etc. At the time, Grand Wailea was owned by Hyatt Corp. Honeymooned at Grand Wailea for 5 nights 25 years ago. Back then was able to use some American Airlines points/vouchers to cut rate by 50%. Nicest hotel I've ever been to in my life. Highly recommend Wailea area even if you can't swing the Grand Wailea.
