    #11 Mississippi vs #3 Tennessee - 3/05/21

What?! Tennessee's back in the Final Four for the first time since 2008?! Oh wait ... wrong final four

    #5 Oregon St vs #4 Oregon - 3/04/21

There is a significant difference between losing a key player midseason and not having a key player available all season long for an injury sustained 12 months ago. If the latter were the case with Paopao, then our friend @maccca3232 would certainly not have bothered to point out the issue...

Irrelevant to the original point. Maybe ease up on the pugilism. Not everything is an attack.

I didn't realize Brown had played this year.

ND down and out..who is next?

They're a much better team at home than away from home. On paper their best road win was at FGCU, but that game was played (oh so fortuitously) less than 24 hours before Kierstan Bell got her waiver. After that their best win away from Fayetteville was a neutral-court win over bubble team Wake...

Yes, exactly. He's not going to bemoan that one of his best players was unavailable for the game because he knows that it would come across as making excuses and he doesn't want to take away from the opponent's win. But of course it goes without saying Oregon is a lesser team without Paopao.

    #8 Louisiana St vs #1 Texas A&M - 3/05/21

I pointed this out in the weekly multi-game thread, but I've just realized that LSU, amazingly, has a chance at an at-large bid, thanks to the NCAA's waiving of the usual .500 minimum winning percentage in order to be tournament-eligible (thanks to @Vowelguy for the assist). Creme has LSU...

Ask and ye shall receive :) thanks for the find. And just like that, we have a 9-12 team on the bubble.

    #15 South Florida @ Central Florida - 3/04/21

I haven't followed Steinberg's work closely, but from what little I've seen, not quite as meticulous as Creme and sometimes neglects to consider bracketing principles. A #9 seed before the win over USF seems highly optimistic to me, considering UCF had not yet beaten anyone in the NET top 50...

    #15 South Florida @ Central Florida - 3/04/21

I wouldn't consider them safe. The resume still isn't all that good, and a NET of 39 guarantees them nothing except consideration. I think they're likely in, but I wouldn't bet the house on it.

    Week 15 games (Mar. 1-7)

Many interesting games today. My top 2 picks (which I've marked in dark red in the header post) are: Ohio State–Rutgers. Amazingly, this is only Rutgers' second home game vs. a NET top 50 opponent (the first was their loss to Maryland). A great chance for the Knights to bolster their resume...

    #5 Oregon St vs #4 Oregon - 3/04/21

Ironically, this latest win probably gives them a less desirable NCAA seeding, up from a likely 10/11 seed to the dreaded 8/9 hole. They may need to beat one #1 NCAA seed today (Stanford) to avoid having to face another in the 2nd round.

    Access question.

I'm fairly certain that YouTube TV and similar streaming services for U.S.-based content are intended to be available only in the States. But you might try your luck with a VPN.

And I wouldn’t count them out. It’s not like Stanford went undefeated in conference. If they’re good enough to beat everyone else then sure as heck have a chance.

But don't they have to go through Stanford to get to the title game?

    #15 South Florida @ Central Florida - 3/04/21

They are not to be underestimated when playing at home. One of those teams that plays much better in home vs. away games. The fact that they’ve lost only 1 game at home to a team not named UConn in the past 3 years is pretty amazing to me.

    Maryland @ Michigan - 3/04/21

I was just about to say, I think Maryland can be very much in the mix for the final 1 seed, in the event SC and NC State don't win their conference tournaments.

    #15 South Florida @ Central Florida - 3/04/21

Agreed. It's tough enough to beat someone back to back, and it's even tougher when game 2 is a true road game. UCF has one of the better home court records in the country over the past few years: 32-3 in the past 3 seasons, and 2 of those losses were to UConn (the 3rd was to FGCU this season)...

    #5 Oregon St vs #4 Oregon - 3/04/21

Quite the opposing trajectories of these two teams. Oregon has been dreadful in the latter half of the season, and Oregon State went from laying eggs to salvage its season in the last 3 weeks with massive wins over UCLA and Oregon (twice now), absolutely no doubt they're in the tournament now.

    Coach Flo out

She had some decent teams and actually made the NCAAT in 3 of the 4 years from 2016 to 2019. But things can change very quickly when you have an exodus of transfers. This year Auburn was 5-19 overall, 0-15 SEC.

Ha, somehow I forgot about Wake Forest. Funny how that seems to always happen  But I'm glad someone's passing the attention test Edit to add: But given a choice I would much rather see Wake make the tourney than Notre Dame.

    Week 15 games (Mar. 1-7)

Oregon, after seeming to start the season very strong (some people saw them as a potential Final Four team), has been fading hard. Kentucky never can beat the scrubs easily.

    Week 15 games (Mar. 1-7)

It just occurred to me that those two teams account for 2 of the 3 national championships ever won by the ACC, and now they're both begging for crumbs from the committee. And the 3rd (Maryland) jumped ship.

I agree with this 100%. I've watched UCF against quite a few other opponents and have never seen those same dubious actions that have gained them a special place in UConn fans' hearts.

Well, at least DePaul actually has a good nonconference win. And I'd rather see Marquette make the tournament than any of those other fat-on-the-hog over-budgeted teams.

    Week 15 games (Mar. 1-7)

I haven't studied the bubble picture closely (yet), but I would basically like to see as few teams as possible selected from the indistinct mosh pit of mediocrity that is teams 3 through 11 or 12 of the ACC.
