    Giants 0-16

Unimpressive kid that benefits from the talent around him. Put him on Wyoming ala Allen and no one would know his name. His accuracy needs work. He ain’t saving the Jets by himself. Trade down.

    Giants 0-16

San Fran is getting slaughtered by Miami at home after losing at home to Philly. The same Philly team that failed to beat Washington or Cincy. They are really bad right now due to injury, yet beat the Giants in New York by 30.

    Week 5 game thread

Memphis SMU is looking like another fun one between those two. I really will miss AAC football and baseball

    OT: NBA Playoffs

Still think Davis should defect to Denver if Miami beat the Lakers in the Finals. If Davis and Millsap switched teams, it is a very easy 4 game sweep for the Nuggets.

UCF puts it to Georgia Tech

It’s a damn good football league. I wish them all the best.

    OT: NBA Playoffs

Denver with better coaching would be the favorite to win it all.

Three Favorite Cities for a Long Weekend Visit

Boca Raton, Little Rock, and Phoenix (apart from the summer) are all nice to visit. Little Rock has some of the best food I have ever had and Boca Raton is gorgeous.

OT: RIP HOF baseball legend Lou Brock

Wow, it’s cool you faced a legend. Where did you play ball?

    OT: NBA Playoffs

Giannis can win as a #1 IMO but needs a much better Robin than Middleton.

    OT: NBA Playoffs

MPJ + Harris + a few first round picks for Beal? I know Beal is SG but think that combo would be disgusting. Washington needs to rebuild and MPJ would be as good a gamble as they can make.

    OT: NBA Playoffs

Denver is too talented to play as underwhelming as they did in this series. Why are they playing the Craig dude? They would get unjustifiably killed by the media, but they should consider firing Malone. A better coach would have had that team win in 5. Toronto played well. Great win by the...

Best bet that he is probably going pro, but is still willing to come here if he is drafted lower than expected.

Even then, we do sometimes beat out big time ACC programs (Daniels, Crawford, Winkel, etc)

Ziegler is retweeting posts listing him as a UConn commitment. I think we have a good chance unless he is a top 10 pick in the draft (very possible).

Doing some mid morning research on PG, Owen (the Vermont kid) was also being recruited by Stetson, Washington, BC, and Northeastern. Who knew Stetson recruited New England so hard?

    Baseball Recruiting and Commitment Thread

Damn, can’t have the entire state apparently. Stevens isn’t top 500 on PG but like Daniels and Kron is considered a top player. I wonder why Missouri? They’re seen as one of the weaker SEC programs (although it is a monster conference).

9 Potential top 10 round pick and/or highest level college prospect Not sure how this staff makes recruiting so easy but I'll take it. Edit: Poached him from Stetson, a good Floridian program he committed to in 8th grade. Keep these kids coming Penders!

    Doncic

His passing is outclassed only by James and Jokic. Kid is special. Ayton, JJJ, and Young are all damn good but Doncic is in a league of his own for that draft class.

    Baseball Recruiting and Commitment Thread

Happens all the time to big time programs. Big name programs like USC have been decimated because they have lost too many commits to the MLB draft with no real fallbacks. That's why it is important to get the Winkel's and Crawford's of the world and mix them in with blue collar talent. Really...

Yep - with that size and raw power, he reminds me of those of those Oklahoma State dudes we saw a couple years ago. Hopefully he doesn't strike out as much :p

OT: 2022 5* PG Arterio Morris commits to Memphis

Westport and Darien also work. I'm salty at most of that county, really. It's ridiculous to me that Memphis is bringing in recruits like they're Duke.

OT: 2022 5* PG Arterio Morris commits to Memphis

Germantown is to Memphis what Southport is to Connecticut. It'd be nice if the Southport's and Darien's of the world would support UConn, but they suck too much & are too elitist to care about sports. How fortunate for Memphis that they have their own personal Southport that supports them.

    CT Beaches Off Season

Fairfield beaches are overcrowded and mediocre. Avoid at all costs. If you must visit a body of water in Fairfield, visit Lake Mohegan. That place is the best.

NH typically has 2-3 really high level kids a year, so this is no small accomplishment. Great pickup.

    UConn Baseball 2021

If Wang is as good as the coaches suggest, then we only need one more starter. Dunlop and Simeone redemption tour, or will one of our blue chip pitchers (Ziegler, Siravo) break the rotation as a freshman?

Dom Amore: Though he may never play for UConn, Ben Casparius will eventually play pro baseball as a Husky at heart

He could be drafted very high next year if he plays with us. 20k is really low for a professional athlete. Imagine if he were pitching against UNC in Omaha... Will root for him regardless of his choice! Sounds like a good dude.

IMO corner outfield is more realistic, as Bushling and Casparius will already be in an epic battle for that position. 2 years ago I would have prayed for this scenario, though!

Damn, losing Nuc hurts our depth. He would start for most teams. All four of them were great huskies. Edit: make that 7 of them!
