Exactly. People have some serious delusions about what goes on in stadiums across the country.
Late arrives. Early departures. Lame timeout gimmicks. In game advertisements.
With a handful of exceptions, this literally happens everywhere.
You're already coming to conclusions before you even read the flipping study. Has it crossed your mind that after reading it you might actually agree with my assessment? You're being very close minded about this.
I took the time to actually read the study. You didn't. The study confirmed my beliefs, but in no way shape or form do I think it PROVES it.
Isn't it just as telling that you are endorsing a study that you haven't even taken the time to read? Do you believe that all published studies are...
So you haven't read this study, yet you feel inclined to project what my beliefs are based on my comments about the study. Is that right?
For the record, I do believe that blacks are less likely to be called back for second interviews than whites all things being equal. But this "study"...
There are tons of garbage studies that are published every year. I see a lot of issues with this study that taste already pointed out. I'm not sure it can be relied upon to cite as a basis of fact. It's absolutely true that anyone can produce any results they wish to achieve.
You've been away from CT for too long. They will complain. Gathering a sample of about 20 of the most die hard season ticket holders out of 20k is not the best gauge. I myself don't give a crap. But people have complained both on and off this board when they've done this in the past.
I don't think it's any of the options listed.
There were very few who were more critical of Diaco than I was last year. Between the rotating of QB's, not using Geremy Davis, mind boggling in game decisions, the players seemingly quitting at the end of the year, and the nonsensical silly things...
For me, it's still the Pitt game under the lights in 2004. Everything from the tailgate to the game just felt big time. I've still never seen the Rent as electric as it was that night. The Palko problems communicating to the offense, the Perkins pick 6, Walt Harris inexplicably taking a knee...
Pricing tickets at $15 is not going to move the needle. The only thing that will accomplish is pi$$ing off people who paid full price.
I like the parking at the Rent early and getting a shuttle to and from Gampel, but I worry about the LAZ cartel not being kind to that.
Realistically that...
You're interpreting other people's position to meet your own opinion about them. I sincerely doubt that if you could guarantee people would stop dying at the hands of guns if everyone simply "gave them up", they wouldn't do it in a heartbeat.
Your statement is akin to Waylon's sick argument...
Why do we need to label fans? I don't enjoy marching bands, so before the game and at halftime, I'm hitting the john and getting some beers. Even as an alum, I wouldn't stay to sing the alma mater if you paid me too. Yet there I was, explaining to my kid that the reason SMU couldn't execute...
What a non fan you are. I had to explain to my son why SMU was having so much g-damn trouble running the Victory Formation last year.
<pats self on back>
"Let this be a testament to all of the athletes across the country that you do have power," Tigers defensive end Charles Harris said Monday. "It started with a few individuals on our team, and look what it's become. Look where it's at right now. This is nationally known, and it started with just...
It's really too bad that we can't have an open and honest discussion about this without subtle and not so subtle accusations being thrown around. Time for another extended BY break.
Because I don't appreciate being called a racist? How's that for starters?
This is why white people don't like to talk about racial issues. Because if you have an different take on an issue you get called "old white folk" by those who think they know best. It's an old and lazy argument. And...
