OT-Former Coach Edsall Happy For Huskies Bowl Bid

If you really want to knock Edsall's recruiting, the fair arguments are his inability to really ever recruit a top flight QB post Orlovsky and the OL recruiting his last 2 years on the job. Go back and look at his last 2 OL classes and you'll get a sense of why we went south in a hurry. Cruz...

Diaco to be interviewed on Sirius XM84 today 9:30am

I wouldn't get attached. He gets an actual offer that makes sense he will probably go. I hope we're continually worrying about it. It would mean we're having great years.

I was a bit disappointed after this thread got off to a slow start. But it's now picking up steam. Gonna pop the popcorn.

Diaco to be interviewed on Sirius XM84 today 9:30am

I heard him on WPLR this morning around 8 AM. Nothing earth shattering. Said certain people called about other jobs but that he's happy here and will not be leaving anytime soon. Was pretty emphatic about making that point. That's true until the right job comes along and he's actually...

    Roster Attrition (Jim Fuller)

I really don't think any of these has any impact at all for next year. Floyd was mostly a special teams player. He's the most significant. I would be surprised if Rugg is the only OLineman who left with eligibility remaining this year.

OT: NYT article on Rutgers and the Big 10

Eh, fack off. Our "base" sold out for most of the first 7 years in the facility in the Big East. Conference Realignment did a number on us. Unfortunately for us, we don't like in an overpopulated rat's nest that leaches off of NYC's DMA. To answer you directly, if we got the golden...

OT: NYT article on Rutgers and the Big 10

Cable boxes. That's all the last round of expansion was about. Nothing else. You'd think RU fans would know this deep down inside and be rather humble about that whole thing. RU hasn't earned it's way into the B1G the way Nebraska did. They benefited from geography. As you found out the...

OT: NYT article on Rutgers and the Big 10

Of course nobody can be sure who will work out the best but if we were in the market this year and my choices are Durkin, Ash, and Babers? I'm going: 1. Babers 2. Durkin 3. Ash The gap in my preference between 1 & 2 is not nearly as wide as the gap between 2 & 3. I fully expect grandpa...

Let's clear up some myths about the Fiesta Bowl

So TV executives, university presidents, and conference commissioners, who draw 6 or 7 figure salaries, are going to be fooled by some hack reporters on twitter while message board posters can figure out what really happened? Sorry, no sale.

OT: NYT article on Rutgers and the Big 10

It's a good thing for Ash that Urban Meyer steered him clear of Cuse so he could walk into that mess. Phew.

    Hire the Coordinator

Of course Ash could be the next big thing and do wonders at RU. But based on their experience and accomplishments, the consensus among college football experts (as opposed to message board posters), is that Cuse got the better hire.

    Hire the Coordinator

God that post couldn't be more pathetic. Did you want me to acknowledge you after all of these years of not responding to your nonsense? Almost dinner time gramps.

No, not everyone. But you? Yes. Absolutely. Without question.

    Hire the Coordinator

Just so we're clear guys - Ash was offered the SU job but turned them down to take the RU job on the premise that SU was career suicide. SU then lucked into hiring Dino Babers by accident. Nevermind that Babers is universally considered a better hire than Ash. NickyNewark told us so. You...

    Hire the Coordinator

Right. There was nothing to it. Diaco would have been insane to take that job. And if RU was really looking at Diaco it tells you what kind of pool they were swimming in during this search.
  20. J

    Hire the Coordinator

LOL. Syracuse did light years better with Babers. RU is career suicide whether you like it or not. Doesn't really matter what you think. You think there's another reason why they had to dip in for a Co-DC that nobody else had on their list?

Isn't the Heisman presentation right after the Army/Navy game anyway?
  23. J

    Hire the Coordinator

I was surprised by the UMD hiring but not the RU hiring. UMD supposedly had all of this UA money they were ready to throw at a big name. For RU it's pretty simple - the job is career suicide. The Diaco talk linking him there was nuts.

Really? I think the top 10 BCS teams each year would win SEC, B1G, Pac 12, and Big 12 championships.

    Next Year

10 on offense (Samra) 6 on defense (Campenni, Adeyemi,Vann, Stewart, Adams) All special teams players are returning. Hopefully they get to fix their mistake and allow Tarbutt to RS. I think by far the biggest shoes to fill next year are Campenni and Adeyemi.

Good ole boys club more than anything else. Plus, only thing more overrated than an OL coach in the NFL is a hitting coach in MLB.

So What's Been The Oddest Statement On The Boneyard This Season

You are really something else. Back on the idiotic notion that posters like whaler, myself, and others are what drove away posters. Couldn't have been the losing and CR hits we've endured the last 5 years. Your buddy started this thread. Blame him. What you see as bullying, others...

    St Pete Bowl ticket info

The whole bowl system is such a scam and a joke it's pathetic. I was wavering on whether I'd buy and donate tickets or not. I've decided not to. Not going to play along and turn over my hard earned money just to "support UConn" when you are really supporting the system that everyone hates...

So What's Been The Oddest Statement On The Boneyard This Season

I've come to the conclusion that when Nos says he wouldn't trade rosters with Temple today, he is trolling and when pressed, will clarify that he means that he wouldn't trade rosters because we are so young and they are loaded with seniors. Nos, this is your chance to clarify your statement...

So What's Been The Oddest Statement On The Boneyard This Season

My position is that we were a better football team than Nova, Army, UCF, ECU, and Tulane. Mizzou is probably better than us but it's close. We were not, this year, in 2015, better than BYU, USF, Cincy, Navy, Houston, and Temple. I don't think that's all that controversial nor is it saying...
