    “Big man Coach”

I think the thing with Clingan is that most of the time he gets the ball, we don’t want him passing in that he’s usually in a good position right under the basket to score. Not exactly a back down post player yet like Sanogo is. Regarding Sanogo’s development, I think what’s been said is spot...

    Clingan MVP

As I said, I'm not 100% sure that's true. Likely yes, but I'd like to see it. I'm also speaking defensively. I don't think Clingan would score a ton against either. So in the box score Clingan would lose. Keep in mind Jokic and Gobert were both moderate projects. They weren't who they are today...

    Clingan MVP

Boneyardin' hard. Clingan is good, but his defense ain't Gobert's and, as of right now, Davis and Jokic would eat him alive.

    Clingan MVP

The only reason Clingan plays 2 years in college is if he wants to play 2 years in college. He's an excellent basketball player with tons of physical ability. There's no financial or developmental reason he needs to return after this year. I think he'd have close-to-immediate impact on the...

    2022 Recruiting: Donovan Clingan

I thought that this was about Clingan...you must have been nitpicking someone else...my bad.

    2022 Recruiting: Donovan Clingan

I mean I’ve been to Calhoun camp where they taught it and played for a top program in the state too where I was told the same thing. When I got rid of my dip my jumpshot was so much better. When I taught others who depended on their dip the same thing they were completely different shooters...

    2022 Recruiting: Donovan Clingan

Jokic has the definition of a two-motion shot dude. You really struggle in the Clingan threads. Yes, a one-motion shot is better these days. A dip is when after you catch the ball, you bring it down. That would be what the definition of the word "dip" is in this context if you're able to apply...

    Donovan Clingan commits to UConn

Brook Lopez as well. But your point remains. I actually think Clingan can be a Brook Lopez(at Stanford) type of player as an upperclassman.

    Donovan Clingan commits to UConn

People seem to think there's a bunch of giant big men drilling threes all the time. It's basically just Jokic, Embiid, and Towns.

    Donovan Clingan commits to UConn

Sure there are some super optimists but I think most of the yard has been filled with reasonable takes for a kid of his size and potential. People are excited to watch him develop and hopefully have a good career.

Who has compared Clingan to Jokic? You're the first person I've seen bring up Jokic.

I can buy that. Who's Matt Haarms?

I do think the Boneyard has to be careful though - I'm getting Ferrari in the garage vibes. Clingan obviously doesn't suck. But seeing Jokic comparisons... I'd be happy with a Matt Haarms impact (although I'm pretty sure Clingan is a much prospect).
