So, You Were Wondering Where Kelli Stacy Went

The move to Arkansas also puts her a lot closer to her hometown in Oklahoma. Still, I have to agree with those who were not overly impressed with her coverage of the UConn women. I recall finding more than a couple of factual errors in stories that were quasi historical in nature.

UConn Opens the 2020 Season at the 2nd Annual MLB4 Tournament!

That's some way to open the season, in probably the highest profile college baseball tournament in the regular season. Playing with some fast company with the College World Series finalists. It's quite an honor to be included in this.

2019 College summer ball - UConn players

A Jimmy Wang sighting, excellent!! I'm inclined to think the reason Wang is not playing in a summer league is that they want to rest his arm over the summer, and then start to build it up again during fall ball. He probably reached some sort of innings limit during the spring season considering...

    UConn Baseball 2019

Talk about cryptic, a perfect way to keep me in suspense. If I were taking a guess out of left field, I would say naming rights to certain aspects of the new baseball facility, but it could be any number of things.

    Films Worth Viewing

I saw Ninotchka for the first time a couple of years ago. Amazing it took me so long to get around to this one. Great stuff, and well worth seeing, but that is the way it is with a bunch of Lubitsch movies. Yes, Ninotchka is one that I can probably see over and over again, as is being...

Movies that you watch over and over:

There are plenty of movies that I have seen and enjoyed over and over again. I would guess there are several hundred of them. These films range all the way back to the silent era to modern day, and include many different genres. Here is a very small sampling: Metropolis (silent movie) Sunrise...

2019 MLB Draft: A look at Connecticut’s candidates

The deadline for signing is this Friday at 5pm. We'll see what Mason Feole does, but somehow I doubt we won't find out what his decision is until it is deadline time. As for Reggie Crawford, I expect that he will be in Storrs this fall, but we'll see if there are any surprises in the next...

After this past UConn season, an encouraging strikeout to walk ratio was not exactly what you would associate with Karl Johnson. However, so far this summer with the Bourne Braves, Johnson has had a big turnaround, albeit in a limited amount of work. In 4 games, Johnson has worked 8 innings...

    OT: CT Fireworks

I can relate. Our German Shepherd doesn't like thunder at all. If I'm on the computer and she hears thunder, then my legs under the computer table have to make room for the dog as well. Doesn't care for fireworks either, but tonight for some reason she has been ok.
