Ray Allen seeking protective order against UConn

The child is having a tantrum. You don’t reason with children when they have tantrums. You put them in timeout. Sadly this thread has a lot of posts that demonstrate immaturity and selfishness. Worse case is a poster who’s wife is rapidly deteriorating and another poster who, well aware...

    Recruiting: Andre Jackson 2020

I don’t get it either. Love CV. Kid gives 120% effort. Contributes on both ends but his handle is subpar for a guard which limits his half court offense when he goes into a shooting slump. Like Polley. Decent 3 pt shooter. Inadequate handle limits his offense. Sid Wilson is uber...

    OT: Hartford wins lawsuit

Nah. It's a sign your campaign of fear, although having nada impact on us tough Boneyarders, is having an affect on your wimpy working colleagues.

Beautiful tribute to JC on the ESPYs.

Guy is slowing down. I understood every word he said. That was a terrific speech. Personally I'm not into hero worship. Food goes in and out the same way in pretty much all of us. However at the 2004 Mohegan Sun Simon and Garfunkel concert I spied JC in the stands. This middle...

    Kevin Ollie Update

All fine and good but is that Dustin Johnson? Edit: Quoted @BLUEDOGHOUSE but was ghosted. Points (or water balloons) BLUE for irritating the guy who gave our players scooters to race.

    UConn Withdrawal Letter to AAC

Recruit: hey Dan, when you playing in the BE tournament? Dan: 2022! Few months later Danny boy calls recruit. Make that 2023. How is this going to help recruitment in the short run?

    Josh Boone

Big debate over that ending. I agreed with nyhuskyfan’s (Gurleyman) argument that as talented as that team was it lacked a second decent ball handler. Plus Hilton suffered the ankle sprain.

That 2005-2006 team was loaded with talent.

Great article. One can do a lot worse in life than ending up living in Australia.

    Kevin Ollie Update

I doubt anyone in this thread disagrees with your statement. We are going off the rails because some of the individuals were trying to make your point but their execution was poor. Where you have a slam dunk on this issue imo they clanked the rim.

    Final 2019 Scholarship?

I like Whaley as well. I recall a couple of games where Carleton was in foul trouble, Cobb strapped on his cement shoes, put in the game but benched quickly, then Whaley was put in only to pick up two quick fouls. Cobb was put back in and fortunately some of the cement was removed. If Manuel...

    Final 2019 Scholarship?

It could look bad if Carleton is in foul trouble and Whaley is too small to stop an opposing big. Then fans will criticize Hurley for not getting a back up for Carleton. Take a rent a body for one year even if it’s only to push Carleton in practice.

Will you watch more AAC or Big East this season?

I’m going to watch nothing but UConn and AAC games this year. I’m going to watch nothing but UConn and BE games next year (assuming joining that league by then). When viewership ratings are reviewed dot dot dot

    Courant article on Jalen Gaffney

Put me in the camp that’s excited about Gaffney. I watched tape of two and one half games he played his senior season. It’s a small sample but I find watching real games a lot more informative than highlight films. This kid has the heart of CV but is more talented. He’s not outstanding in...

So if you know this I guess you go over to their board for fictional reading. I’m surprised you don’t get enough of that category on The Boneyard.

    Recruiting: Andre Jackson 2020

Love what he does when he has the ball. Concerned opposing teams don’t guard him away from the basket neutralizing teammates and his passing skills. WTS I hope we get him. We won with Taliek Brown. One of my favorite moments was being at MSG behind our basket when he hit the three. Place...

Not likely to be an afterthought for some time. More a not my kid is going to play which will greatly reduce the pool of players. The majority of parents who refuse to allow their own will have no problem watching someone else’s kid get his body destroyed. There will be enough desperate...

And if we’re correct football will no longer drive the college sports bus. There won’t be enough teams to provide content. But before that happens there will be a contraction to six conferences with a similar number of schools per conference as currently exists. It’s this period of time, if...

My hope based on head trauma. I think the most likely future is less kids playing but enough to feed the college ranks. The number of schools participating will be significantly reduced. The payoff to them could be huge if the NFL continues to use universities as a developmental league...

They left with the name because we sold it to them. That sale was seed money to build the AAC. Turned out to be a bad investment for us but a major part of that was bad outcomes with our choices.
