Besides Oliver Pudvar, wondering who everyone thinks will fill out the weekend rotation. I believe we have the potential to be a very strong offensive team. Hopefully get solid starting pitching to go along with the offense.
I figured the best way to segue from 18" of snow is to post the yearly "Wins Needed" chart. The start of the season is a little over 2 weeks away. When I post this chart it gives me the sense that spring is right around the corner (even though in actuality, spring seems like a long way away)...
I was 18 years old when I attended the game ( now 66). I was a freshman and sophomore on the St Paul team when Mark Noon led us to back to back state Championships. We were also friends of the Palladino family. My Dad and Gary’s brother (Al) were partners in a Masonary business for about 10...
I was at that game. My high school teammate Mark Noon was playing for the Hartford Hawks in the first game of a doubleheader. They played Amherst. UConn played UMass in the second game. I could be wrong but I don’t believe it was a sellout. May guess / recollection is the crowd was 7-8,000...
In the video when he was announced off the bench and ran onto the court, he reminded me Tony Hanson ( one of my all time favorite Huskies). The floppy hair was a Tony Hanson trademark
That’s very generous. Thank you. My friend has decided to drop his wife off, go park and meet them at game. He doesn’t think she will be able to stay for whole game. So he will go get car and pick her up at entrance.
A friend of mine’s wife has battled many medical conditions over last few years. She is a huge men’s hoop fan and her daughter is surprising her with tickets for Friday’s game.
Where is the best place for them to park? The parking garage next door to Gampel or is there a better place. Thanks in...
Sorry did not post earlier, crazy long day of traveling. A win yesterday would have been huge. I still think we sneak in, but definitely not 100% confident.
Go Huskies!!!

You cracked me up with the above post!!! The chart is updated. For all you do for the Boneyard, how can I not post an update.
PS. My wife thinks I’m nuts, laying in bed in Italy updated the baseball chart.
Followed game till we were up 6-0. Then had to get some sleep. Said a quick prayer that I wasn’t going to wake up to a massive Xavier comeback. Very happy prayer worked. Huge win in what was almost certainly a play- in game.
Wouldn’t say we are 100% in , but would be extremely surprised if we...
About 12:45am in Italy, and about to fall asleep. Thx for all posts on game, greatly appreciated. I thought it was a must win today, and we got the job done. With 1 more win, I believe we would be in. But still would be a bit nervous.
Let’s get in done!!
Go Huskies!!!

This may be my last post of the season. We are off to Italy for 2 weeks. I’m going to do my best to continue to follow and post, but that will be dependent on WiFi, cell service and time difference. Some random thoughts below.
(1) after a very slow start, we ended with an impressive run at the...
