Brown is a really good player. I don't think they're anywhere near the NCAA title game without him last year. That being said, the guy I'm most worried about is Evans. We have to keep him in check as if he goes off, we're cooked. I'm assuming Boozer will get his and just hope our bigs don't get...
I'll root for BC for as long as Luke Murray is their coach. As soon as he's moved on to a better job, I'll go back to being basically indifferent to them. That said, that's a tough job. Same goes for Kimani Young. I'll root for wherever he winds up for his contributions to UConn basketball.
We're not recruiting anywhere near the same type of player as BC right now. I think it's an awful job, but if he can make an NCAA tournament, it'll be a great success. He was a finalist the last time Charleston opened. That is definitely the better job.
All for Brian Bowen II. The father said the other schools that offered money were Texas, Creighton, Arizona and OK State. There were no shades of gray. The point man for Creighton got a 2 year show cause and is now an assistant coach for Alabama.
I'm going to assume that McD and Huss agreed to this arrangement before taking it to the higher ups. Either way, this is a strange arrangement to leave for an assistant coaching job for an indefinite time as coach in waiting.
How does Jaron Pierre of Jacksonville St have another year of eligibility? I looked at his stats and he played his 4th year this past season. I could understand if he pulled a Nijel Pack or Bryce Hopkins (sitting out a year due to "injury"). But Pierre played 4 years. I don't even see a waiver...
He can't shoot and is turnover prone. He's also undersized and plays in an awful league. Last year's player of league from same school can't play at Rutgers this year.
