it was a misfit, period. He couldn't guard anyone, and that was evident in the StM tape against athletic teams. Someone that can't defend athletic guards has to be ridiculously good offensively. This is the part that I still can't wrap my head around. I'm sure the staff knew Solo wasn't a great...
No one knows how good or bad they’ll be. All hot takes. The argument that they won’t be good feels more like a disgust of a heavy portal roster. Pope got to the S16 with a brand new roster last year, and those players weren’t even that good. It can work, perhaps to a limit.
I'd have to think Dan Hurley is pretty transparent in in those end of years convos so kids can go make the right decision for themselves. The portal is already open. I think this is what makes kids love him, they can trust him.
Venue and narrative would be the storyline.
I know CFB has started to have games overseas, but outside of some of these Bahamian tourneys, has CBB done anything?
Pope tossing opening tip would put a cherry on it.
From a Nova alum with some connections to Nova admin, seems they’re pulling together an early season OOC game against ND, in Rome. In the works apparently, with a potential Pope visit. Now that would be something to see.
Nice kid, says the right things and I’m sure there is value is understanding what you’re capable of (or not), at the highest level. It’ll only help in the long run. Valid source confirms was pretty miserable at UConn, so he could have easily snuck in some negative comments. Good for him.
