Paige Bueckers is the fastest player to 50 points and 25 assists since Sue Bird

She’s been pretty good so far in my eyes. She is finding shots, finding teammates, rebounding, and taking care of the ball. She’s been pretty cold shooting, the only area that’s been challenging. I’m sure some of that is in response to more athletic defenses, plus nobody on the team finds her...

    2025 WNBA Regular Season

Really pleased to see Stewart with an efficient 25 point season opener. She looked crisp coming off a knee procedure between unrivaled and training camp.

    2025 WNBA Regular Season

I sometimes forget Plum was a similar offensive player to Clark. And her 3 ball is so much better now than in college. I think this move allows her to be the featured player and she’ll be a big time scorer. Great for the league because the clumping of top talent made the league very top heavy...

    Paige's Wings Page (merged thread)

That was a tough watch. Was happy to see Paige score early and hit some midrange. But most of her shot attempts were contested 1v1 plays. Dallas has very little if any ball movement. Watching the game I was adjusting from UConn ball back to the W style. But watching LA vs GS I was reminded it’s...

    2025 WNBA Pre-Season Thread

Others mentioned but very similar for Christyn Williams. Her big game performances seemed to peak in her freshman year, as did her efficiency. Got better in some areas through college. The injury killed her WNBA start, but hasn’t been able to stick on a roster after attempting for multiple seasons.

Now that Serah is on Board. What is the starting 5 for next year?

While that was a fantastic game and she was electric offensively, she averaged 4.7 points in 22.5 minutes per game this year against ranked opponents (13 games). I think it’s fair to assume the team will be looking for additional perimeter scoring out of her position next year, with leading...

Now that Serah is on Board. What is the starting 5 for next year?

KK, Azzi, Ash, Sarah, Serah to start off the season. Hoping KK improves her shot because this would give tons of space for Serah to play back to the basket. Later in the year, I could see KK, Azzi, Blanca, Sarah, Serah depending on Blanca’s transitions defensively and the effectiveness of her...

    Looking Ahead

Sarah quietly goes about her business. She’ll be consistently great next year, and I expect will be our best player and perhaps NPOY. For Azzi, she needs to work on consistency. The beautiful thing about Paige’s game was she was consistent every night. We can’t have Azzi shoot 10-18 one night...

Caption this photo (accidentally merged with Qadence transfer thread)

That NC state game showed a lot of promise, and she did hit a big 3 in last years elite 8 game. Hope she can find a spot where she can find meaningful minutes and regain that form. Not surprised by this and think it’s probably the right decision for her. Wish her luck.

    2025 Transfer Portal

This situation just feels like a microcosm of the portal era. UCLA gets a top 5 class. They then bring in two really big name transfers. The freshman sit in favor of the transfers, and all leave. Then the big name transfer leaves, maybe because she wants more PT than being a role player on a...

A little fun for the Offseason: The UConn Pyramid (Row 1)

I’d say Rebecca, Jen and Kara are the base of the pyramid having laid the foundation of UConn basketball. Tina, Sue, and Paige are the next tier, who won NPOY and delivered championships. Maya and Diana are the next tier, for their multi NPOY and multi championships. And Stewie is the crowning...

    Charlie Creme's Way-Too-Early Top 25

I know it’s just clickbait, but how you can have ND ranked top 25 when they don’t even have enough players to take the court is questionable. How you rank USC so high when they likely won’t have Juju, lose their starting front court, and their two most promising returning backcourt players is...

In my "best of all possible worlds" scenario, Caroline will be our starting small forward next year.

Getting quicker, stronger, and into game shape for the start of next season is the most important. Then working on getting comfortable playing through contact. She has the skills to contribute if she can regain that form. I’d love to see her be a part of the rotation, but she has a long way to...

    2025 Transfer Portal

He clearly has recruiting acumen and the ability to make meaningful connections with high level players. Otherwise they wouldn’t give him another shot. But can he translate those skills into getting top players directly off the recruiting trail. The portal can only work so much.

    Sarah Strong - Freshman Stats

Sarah Strong joins Maya Moore as the only player on UConn’s freshman top 10 list for every statistical category. Points - 2nd Rebounds - 1st Assists - 2nd Steals - 2nd Blocks - 4th Maya had more points, Sarah had more of everything else. The best statistical season by a freshman in...
