The biggest thing we’re losing with Mullins is simply someone who can get a bucket. Same problem as last year’s team had as well, and it forced Liam into the Batman role a few times because of it.
To that end the obvious answer is Stewart, and pray it clicks for him and that he brings it on...
Think he’s in the same place he was post commitment but before he torched that international tourney and people were losing their minds about finding him minutes - he’s last guy off bench and hopefully gets a little run here and there so he can be a meaningful piece long term
1. Can’t help but feel like this is Liam all over again. Brutal injury for a freshman as it puts him way behind the curve.
2. Calling for Ross to start over Stewart is insanity. Stewart is inconsistent but has shown real flashes and had actual contributions in meaningful games. Ross has not. I...
It's a good question for those of us not following the recruitment of every single kid closely enough to parse out their many interviews. Assumed it was a long shot he'd come here but wasn't sure if the recent commitments had absolutely shut the door
Didn't they already include Karaban in their frontcourt ranking or is that another article I'm remembering?
This one looks like it missed the editor's desk. Solo as potential BEPOY but not in the starting lineup - Hurley's got options!
Odd no? If the NCAA weren't such a toothless organization at this point I'd say he's bailing before the hammer gets dropped but can't see that being the case here. Hope he's fine health wise.
Two things can be true here guys:
1. Furphy is underrated based on his stars etc in general
2. Furphy is wildly overrated on this board. He’s a good kid who will contribute some off the bench here and start for a few years. This talk about NBA aspirations is premature. Ripping a dude for not...
Honestly it makes sense - I like them both but how far this team will go won’t end up depending on Stewart or Ross. If we get a major contribution from one or both great but it’s the guys he mentioned that will make or break the season.
Hurley is an incredible coach who has done amazing things for the program fueled by a wild personal intensity. He’s also a drama queen and a bit of a volatile nut.
