Am I crazy for not understanding the charges in this thread that Mullins doesn't get enough run for him? I think, as Dan Hurley said, it took him awhile to get used to the offense, but I see him running the same actions as Solo etc when they're the focal point of the offense as well.
I think he's...
If Boatright were what, four or five inches taller he would have spent a decade in the NBA. Kid was a gamer, tough as nails, played great D, could play alongside a ball dominant guard.....
One of the last great recruiting connections to JC too
Ross had a phenomenal block yesterday. He also had some awful defensive possessions and did nothing on offense.
He shouldn’t be starting, but he is a hugely important part of the team. When he and/or Stewart come off the bench and contribute anything on offense/don’t turn the ball over/play...
Solo doesn’t have anything to “figure out”. Dude had a bad defensive half and got benched because the lineup without him in it was rocking. Let’s not start goofy narratives or compare an all big east kid to the backup pg.
Malachi is a poor man’s Diarra. He’s a great spark off the bench...
Some of you are high. Solo is one of the better players on the team and should be a nailed on starter. He's saved this team offensively plenty of times and he was the only one last night who actually had any shred of energy in the first ten minutes. He had a bad game afterwards and deserved...
Do we seriously not learn this lesson every year? Winning big east games, even during a down year for the big east, is not easy. Winning big east games on the road even tougher. This crazy arrogance to think we’re beating every team left by double digits is baffling.
The discourse on here around Ross and, to a lesser extent, Stewart is hilarious. They’re both very talented but wildly inconsistent role players. Stewart sometimes seems like he flips a coin to see which half he’s going to show up for. Ross goes from great defense to looking like he’d get cut...
Both love and am deeply disturbed by this. Glad it hangs around gampel cause it's may not be allowed within 200 yards of a playground or elemntary school.
Look these two come back and Illinois gets fed to the woodchipper we may be looking back at that Zona game after the season as an acceptable lost in context a la Kansas missing Castle when Clingan got hurt
I don’t know how you’d quantify their inability to break the press but if you’ve seen them try to break full court pressure in the last few years it’s obvious they struggle with it. As you astutely pointed out it has nothing at all to do with winning championships but it’s very obvious watching...
I mean sure. But a handful of possession against a kid this summer v an upperclassman not coming off an injury who has more than a minute’s experience in college in terms of playing time?
