i see it more as extortion. 'invites' tend that way if the inviter is the holder of power and the invited feels she has no power ... and often her only option is a damaging refusal to give in.

ha ha. THAT is the very thing i'm worried about ... if she thinks about it excessively -- maybe even a bit -- it's an indication it's an issue in her mind. hope her pals and counselors can help her out. remember, azzi is a self-described over-thinker.
cohesion plays a huge part too. ideally, you have a leader(s) to achieve that. but it could come from the team building uconn coaching is so good at. ... the uconn way, you might say.
isn't the entire 15-woman roster a possible winner -- in each game? i think it's premature at this point to be selecting favorites. i may be wrong of course. i hope all get the honor of putting on a baddass performance. it could be done in less than a minute and i hope that such BA showings are...
i like your thinking. she also could follow maya's path: take on a tough mission that serves the greater society. ... some would say coaching bball would be a major shortchanging of her potential.
i know. ... but whadya make of my basic point: fans would enjoy seeing the youngsters try to improve their game in the coming blowouts rather than a 'big 3" obliterating inferior teams -- which, face it, gets boring.
