I think Dawn Plitzuweit is a VERY good coach: look what she's done at MN with a team that has limited athletic talent. She also took SD to the Sweet 16 with even less talent. You're displaying your ignorance of basketball with the highlighted statement.
Dawn is NOT leaving MN (unless they fire her, which is extremely unlikely). It's her dream position and the reason she left West Virginia after one year. Campbell or the coaches at Fairfield or Rhode Island are good options.
I've always felt that Bluder was a much better coach on the offensive side; Jenson has them playing much better defense without losing their offensive moxie.
I think she passes up many of the shots because of a slow release. Many of those she passes up can be blocked - maybe she needs to work with Azzi on that quick release.
After a pretty miserable start to the season, they have won 4 in a row and 5 out of their last six. Three of their 4 freshman recruits were ranked by ESPN and they look to be improving rapidly.
A friend of mine in Memphis just had a shoulder replacement, sounds like his rehab is shorter than yours (he also has a hip replacement and a knee [2nd] replacement).
TN, currently undefeated in the SEC due to a soft opening schedule, is unlikely to finish in the top 3 in that conference. They could finish as high as fourth and as low as sixth.
As noted in the B1G thread, IN and Penn St are 0-9 and 0-10 respectively and don't play each other until the final conference game for both, when they could each be 0-17, unless one of them stumbles into a win prior to that.
IN and Penn St are 0-9 and 0-10 respectively in the BiG, and don't play each other until the last game of the conference schedule: will be interesting to see if either picks up a win before then or if they both are 0-17 heading into that final conference game.
Both men and women can have substantial growth in height in the later teens. Dennis Rodman was 5-9 or 5-10 when he graduated from HS, but then grew 10 or 11 inches post HS. Also remember a kid who played for Iowa who grew a full foot during the summer and fall after his junior year of HS...
