Wesley Walker great Jets WR who played with terrible QB's and mostly bad teams. He was always open. Put him on those great Steeler teams and he would be far more famous than Lynn Swan as he was a much better player.
I miss playing baseball. The anticipation and adrenaline of a big game. Warming up with the catcher prior to taking the mound. Seeing my parents in the stands.
Strike one!!
PAC 12 for football would be a huge improvement to our schedule and provide a realistic path to the tournament which we do not have now. Hopefully more TV money would come with it. I don't see a downside unless the exit fee was prohibitive.
I was there too. Tim McCarver said that was the hardest hit ball he had ever seen. It crashed into the upper deck before it started it's decent.
I went to the old Yankee stadium maybe 15 times in my life and was lucky to see three of the top 25 Yankee stadium games as ranked by the Daily News...
It will be very difficult for the next Knick coach to meet expectations. Thibs just got fired for reaching the semifinals, so I guess its finals or bust next year, and the Knick's two best players don't play defense.
Tough gig.
I like it because it would likely benefit UConn. The teams at the top of the sport would benefit the most. We did very well with players getting their 5th covid year. I don't see a downside. I also hate seeing guys at the end of the bench losing a redshirt because they played garbage time...
Yup, Newton was a legit first team All American and he was also the 3rd best player on last year's team IMO and our 4th best player just won Rookie of the Year. The 2024 team was also the talk of the basketball world with everyone trying to figure out how to copy our offense. Two of our three...
Yeah, Piazza showed up to spring training dramatically shrunken when MLB started cracking down on steroids, same with Bagwell.
Pujols is another obvious user who will likely soon be in the HOF.
Rules will just bring back cheating, and more importantly unfair enforcement of the rules. UConn seems to be doing very well in the no rules era; we might miss it when it is gone.
Right now our goal should simply be win as many games as possible and change the narrative around UConn football...
Piazza is in the HOF, so put the rest of the steroid users in. I'm convinced Nolan Ryan was a late career user, he looked washed up in 86 and was throwing no hitters in 94.
