At the risk of continuing this hypothetical argument… Karaban has well documented struggles defensively against big/athletic 4s. Hoping if we play Duke/UM we get more creative with matchups and Karaban doesn’t spend significant time matched up on Boozer/Yaxel. That is not likely to go well.

it’s not as binary as you describe. we don’t magically learn more in a 1 point loss vs. a 1 point win. all of the issues that contributed to our loss vs St Johns are themes which have existed all year. astute coaches/players would have already recognized them and taken steps to address them.

I think our recent tournament “over performance” vs regular season is a combination of a few things: the team coming together late, being free of the Big East refs, and non-conference teams lack of familiarity with our offense.

Really want him to become much more assertive trying to get his own offense (he did much better against Prov I think out of necessity). He needs to start playing with the mindset that he is the best player on the court at all times. We don’t have many guys that can go get their own bucket and...
