Kid was sold on Hurley's practices. Rare to get a stud who is impressed by practices. To me (i.e. practice hater) this is an exceptional get not just because of his talents, but that he knows where and how to get better and is willing to do so!

He didn't start freshman year. I believe Fair started the season, but didn't end the season starting. Ray was just that good. Again I'm fuzzy about the details but not fuzzy about how exciting it was when Calhoun called his number from the bench.

There is a large representation of the young generation here, not familiar with the history you speak of. I will say this place has evolved.

I choose to ignore it. Its a young kid speaking having high/mixed emotions. His words are just words parentally speaking, having no real meaning, impact or rhyme. Just saying sounds more like a kid speaking without thinking. Anyway its good to see a CT kid become a prize National recruit...
