    Marquette Post Game Thread

Silas is such a good defender with his feet and positioning, I dont know why reaches in so much for the “highlight play” on defense. If he gambled less and played more solid and walled up he wouldn't be in foul trouble every game. It’s a bad habit that the staff has to continue to correct. Its...

    Mullins first start maybe?

That's fair but Mullins won the starting spot and started in the BC exhibition. Hurley commented as such leading up to the opener. When Braylon starts relative to the status of the ankle is up in the air but its clear he earned the spot in the offseason.

    Mullins first start maybe?

100% he should be. Stewie has had good spots but we need Braylon to build that chemistry with the starters in real games.

    Arizona Post Game Thread

Silas was too passive until the team got in a hole. This can’t happen, especially down key starters. He needs to start being a little bit more selfish and aggressive. Didn't draw many fouls, but I liked his mid range game in the second half. It’s early and that pulse on the offense will get...

So far Silas has ran the team well and set everyone up. The day will come (prob Sat) when he’s going to need to be more aggressive and score.

    Golden age?

Taking skill level and style of play out of the equation, I do miss the 2005-early 2010s era when I got into the sport and there was more roster continuity and regional rivalries were more prevalent. Seeing players develop and their roles grow was one of the best parts of following a team. I’m...

Why Dan Hurley says UConn’s roster is ‘screaming’ for emergence of Jayden Ross, Jaylin Stewart

If Ross can be as disruptive and play good D versus Michigan state and the next tier up of athletes then I’ll be a lot more optimistic. Really hope he continues to trend up.

Hurley preparing for UConn's preseason game vs. BC next week

Interested to see if guard defense passes eye test relative to expectations, braylon vs stewart starting spot battle, and how Reibe does as the backup big. Do we know if mich state game will be televised? Dont see TV details on that one.

    UConn Bench Players Shoutouts

Terrance Samuel and Lasan Kromah in 2014. Both played their roles really well: Kromah was a do it all lite glue guy, and Samuel got the rim consistently. Samuel didn't do much after 2014 and transferred but both did their part to contribute to the natty run.

OT: Most influential U.S. athlete of the past 25 years?

100% agree, I would say Tiger. Inspired a generation of people to watch and play golf that probably otherwise wouldn't have. Without him the entire sport wouldn't be where it is today. I would say close #2 between Lebron and Steph. LeBron lived up to the hype and ascended to reach the lofty...

Is Karaban the GOAT if he gets third chip?

Most decorated but not GOAT. Would have to be AA at least one season to really be considered. I think the point Hurley makes regularly about not winning until Alex arrived is important though. What he does in terms of BBIQ, shooting, and connective tissue is so important.

    Borges practice box score

Doors opened at 10:30 and the actual practice started around 11. Two rows of sideline “courtside seats” maybe 50-60 people total. Practice was majority scrimmage on 7/25, Luke coached white team and Kimani coached blue. Sitting front row and hearing Kimani’s timeout “constructive criticism” was...

Add One Former Player to This Roster

Picked Emeka, Clingan was my second choice. This team wont have too many issues on offense or guard play IMO, need rim protection and offense rebounding. Important to emphasize this is not a best player discussion, more about roster needs and fit.
