UConn women at the football game today

If you're on a PC or tablet, press ctrl and plus on the keyboard at the same time to have the browser expand it's contents. ctrl and zero bring it back to normal.

UConn stats.... How much scoring graduated..??

UConn stats.... How much scoring graduated..??

The problem becomes very much smaller if you make use of the Per 40 Pivot Stats spreadsheets which you can find at jackromanowicz.com. Going back to 2018-19, you can easily select which games go into the Per-40 calculations by using the dropdown lists at the top of the Per-40 tab. You can...

KK or Kayleigh, who's your guess?

You can remove some of the 'playing time' consideration by using the Per-40 minutes spreadsheet. I tells us that Ash averaged 4.87 rebounds per 40 minutes, KK 4.44/40, and Azzi 3.02/40. The departed Paige was 5.86/40 last year. Per Her Hoop Stats, Kayleigh averaged 3.3 RB per 40 minutes...

UConn stats.... Sarah started "Strong" and then got better...

Very nice research, and it's good to see proof that the Per40 spreadsheets are apparently useful to someone else. :^) Minor correction, though. Since you used Sarah's one-season stats in the rankings, she would be 4th in rebounds, not 3rd. Jana's TRB number per-40 for last season is 12.71 vs...

Another (minor) 2025 Per40 stats bug fix release -- with good URL

The link above has been repaired. Here it is again. Sorry that my website doesn't support HTTPS, would need to have a private server instance to allow that on my host. May change in the near future.

Another (minor) 2025 Per40 stats bug fix release -- with good URL

You can download it here. In the So. Dakota State game, I gave SDS a score of 7 points rather than 57. I also gave Paige a uni number of 705 rather than 5. There is also a new tab -- I don't think I uploaded it yet -- containing the Per40 and per game grids for the NCAAT tournament only.

Minor fix to the Per40 spreadsheet, and a question

You can download it here. Somehow, the 2-point FG percentage column disappeared from the per 40 stats grid and I didn't notice it all season. It's back. BTW, would there be any interest in me putting all the years I have detail data for into one spreadsheet? I'd add a filter at the top of the...

    KK is still winning

KK shot 33% (30 of 91) last season. Her 2-point shooting this year improved from 52% to 57%, FT from 67% to 71%.

A lot of blue in this graphic

I was responding to the comparative championship droughts. But, since you've expanded the conversation to wins and contenders, I'll counter with: Those were all very visible -- often celebrated -- accomplishments. Add in the championships and it's no surprise people hold them to a higher bar...

A lot of blue in this graphic

The standard the Huskies have set is far higher than Stanford's.

How are you going to spend your summer (UConn WBB Offseason) vacation?

I'll finally be playing tennis without gloves or a hoodie - no more 43 degree mornings - then later hiding from the sun by starting play at 800. We'll be joining HuskyNan at her son's wedding in North Carolina. I'll take 10 days or so in Portugal in June with Colleen and our grandchild...

Final (we hope) 2025 per40 stats are available

Final, that is, unless I find more errors in the formulae like I did today. Download the spreadsheet here. There is an additional tab that only contains the raw data and the per40 stats for just the nine BET and NCAAT games. You can do that yourself with the drop-down filters on the Per-40...

How will Slow down Betts tonight?

Seems to me you can work on #4 by having Aubrey front her in the paint. Her long arms and leaping ability should allow her to interfere with some of the high passes. Other than that, I'm in agreement with those who want to try to run her into the ground. Guarding Sarah at the top of the key...
