On ESPN radio this AM, Dan Patrick Show a guest thought Bell was a possible late first but most likely a second round pick. That's why if Bell is there at 37 he would be a great target for Dart.
Jaylin was a very good passer to the low post and hit some big shots for us. I hope he finds a great landing spot for his final season. It's life and sometimes life sucks. He was easy to root for.
The Oline looked like we have the size to compete. #58 Moore from Toledo was the main center. Ty Chan at guard. RBs Trey Cornist from Cent Mich and Cyncir Bowers WVU looked good. The D line we are in the 4 man front. Might be undersized but hard to tell at this point. Will have to see who plays...
We need someone who is a shotblocker at the 5. Reibe does not seem to have the ups or quickness to do so. We also need a strong power forward who is a monster on the boards.
We had our chances tonight especially in the last 7 minutes. Lots of credit to the culture of this program to keep the pressure on Michigan when we were having to juggle the foul trouble. We were in position to get blown out down 11 but really closed it to where we had a shot to be one score...
Karaban did not jack up a 3 when he had a defender close to him. He made the right play. Coach Baylock said a while a go don't say nice try, say nice play. AK made a huge decision there.
The biggest waste of good seating additions are the midlevel sidewalks that were part of the original plan for Gampel. It is rare to see that setup in any game I watch on TV. A complete engineering/design fail. Fans should be moving around for food, bathrooms etc. under the seats for the arena...
Malachi really played steady, Very focused and under control. Our D was pretty good the last 30 minutes of the game. Solo needs to stop thinking he is only a 3 point shooter. He can bring more to the offense. Team had some great cuts and passes in second half. Alex carried us till everyone else...
Mullins fouled late in the game stepped up and hit both free throws. They were a perfect as one could shoot them. His 4 point issues are bizarre after watching him those 2 free throws. But to win we need everyone contributing in all phases and Braylon did that with his late D intercepting 2...
The thing that sticks out about St John to me is that all players are quick. Hopkins is quicker now than his freshman year. Zuby could play guard. No slow footed guys on the roster.
