IF it ever really clicks for Stewart, watch out! If Stewart and Ross both contribute meaningfully this season, the team's ceiling is very high. I have to say that despite being skeptical on Ross, he looked MUCH better in the exhibition than in the past.
I graduated in 88 and was a campus tour guide and freshman orientation leader. I loved the old country campus and knew pretty much all of it. Now I know very little outside of Gampel.
I can say that Mystic Pizza is pricy and pretty average. No idea about Mango. I can say there's a place in Westerly, RI that makes a killer shrimp pizza, its called the Pizza Place.
We have seen it...except for last season. The far more productive 5 came off the bench and the 3 rpg from the starting 5 proved costly, imo. Perhaps thats another way of saying I agree with your point.
Great question. My first thought was point guard. Then I thought Center as it would almost certainly mean lots of easy buckets and/or a great rebounder/shot blocker/rim protector. But an absolute stud at the 2 or 3 would be great as well. Looking forward to the other responses.
Ouch. I loved me some Lawrence Moten, along with Keith Lee of Mrmphis State, Moten was among my favorite non UConn college players. High socks, big scorer, looked easy for him. RIP Mote, hope to see you on the other side.
As a 30 year Glastonbury resident, I've gotten to enjoy the ones you've mentioned. Harry's in Glastonbury was superb, truly the best I've had in the Hartford area. There are some good ones out that way though. Plum Tomato in Colchester is interesting and Square Peg in Glastonbury also has...
I got to celebrate #6 with Coach Hurley at Gampel 24 hours later. He is the coolest guy in person since he genuinely is loving the experience. But he goes so hard, he is prone to crash. Thrilled I got to meet him and thank him. We are absolutely blessed to have him, and the whole staff.
I was there with him, he was a year ahead of me and in his late 20s if memory serves me correctly. He was very nice and really articulate and always had a smile. The latter Perno years were not great, but I'll alway remember Sgt. Eddie Williams fondly.
I've been to 15 of the 30. Grigg St. in Greenwich belongs here. Some notable ommissions are Mike's in West Haven, Milestone in Thomaston, Frisco's in New Haven and Roseland in Derby.
Honestly, the last 2 times I've been to Sally's have been completely underwhelming. IMO Zupp's, Roseland, Modern and NH Pepe's are all better choices, as is Zeneli's which is also on Wooster St.
